Richard:, external I watch F1 to see late braking overtakes & wheel to wheel action. Whether the driver fully understands every setting is not exciting.

Ricciardo, who started second, has clawed himself up to seventh with a slick move past Hulkenberg down the straight and some late braking into Turn One.

  3. Team radio - Kimi Raikkonenpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 19 June 2016

It is a tough day for the Ferrari mechanics, dealing with a very unhappy Kimi Raikkonen.

The latest team radio exchange -

Raikkonen: "Is it the handling? Is it the same as the last race."

    Ferrari: "I can't answer Kimi, I can't answer I'm sorry."

Raikkonen: "For sure you can say 'yes' or 'no'."

    Ferrari: "I can't Kimi, I can't."

    Lap 45/51

Turn One has proven the most fruitful for overtakes - and Verstappen goes past Massa on the inside to go into P9,

Funny race this - if you look back, there's been plenty of overtaking. But the overall excitement has not matched the numbers.

The race for third is interesting.

Raikkonen occupies P3, but as far as I can recall, has not taken his five-second penalty. Perez is 2.6 seconds behind.

    That could prove tasty.

  10. Team radio - the end for Fernando Alonsopublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 19 June 2016

He is told: "OK Fernando, we can see the problem getting worse. We need you to box this lap."

  12. Team radio - Raikkonenpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 19 June 2016

Well, here's a watered-down version of what Kimi Raikkonen has just been saying to his Ferrari team, after his frustration at not being able to get past a slower car.

Raikkonen: "Where is the blue flag?"

Ferrari: "We are on it, Kimi, there's nothing we can do with him."

Raikkonen: "I've been following the whole lap."

Ferrari: "We're on it, we've complained."

Forget what I said about Alonso having a nibble at Nasr. The Spaniard is having issues with Gutierrez from behind.

Gutierrez goes past, Alonso regains at Turn Two but then relinquishes again moments later.

How do we interpret these messages between Hamilton and Mercedes? We don’t know if a) the car is in the wrong setting; or b) there is a setting that has a problem within it. And if it’s a) if Hamilton has not put it there - which seems to be the case - how has it ended up in the wrong setting?

Some great exchanges between Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes mechanics. Here's some of what they said.

Hamilton: "This is ridiculous guys, I don't know. I'm looking at my fricking dash every five seconds trying to find a switch in the wrong position. I've not changed anything or done anything wrong that I'm aware of."

Mercedes: "There is nothing you are doing wrong, just a setting that is incorrect."

    Hamilton: "In HTB?"

    Mercedes: "I'm afraid I can't say."

Hamilton: "I might not finish this race as I'm going to try and change everything."

Mercedes: "We do not advise that Lewis."

Hamilton: "Can I make suggestions and you say if it's OK or not?"

Mercedes: "No, that's not allowed. Let's just got our heads down and focus on the job."

There are 13 laps for that to change.

They are followed by Raikkonen, Perez and Hamilton.
