Ricciardo is giving it a go on the ultra softs for the final 15 minutes of second practice.

He seems to have pressed a few buttons on his steering wheel and sorted out that power issue.

Turned it off and on, no doubt.

Stoo G: Dream team line-up: Keke Rosberg and Duncan Hamilton. Just for confusion. In an old-school '50s Mercedes

Jake Mackley: Ronnie Peterson and Fernando Alonso. Both quick and exciting drivers, both capable of getting 100% out of any car

Stuart Wood: Francois Cevert and Jules Bianchi, great young talent who deserved a chance to flourish

Fernando Alonso, on the intermediates, is told by his team that he can come in if he's not learning anything anymore.

"I've not learned anything for the last half an hour," is the response.

    I'm renaming him Fernando A-LOL-nso.

Nico Hulkenberg is now the fastest man on intermediates - 1:17.491. That's about 10 seconds slower than the times on dry tyres.

All the cars are out on the green-trimmed intermediate tyres, and the mission at the moment is to work out at what point you can switch back to slicks. That knowledge will help out if it gets wet on race day.

The Tom: Senna and Alonso, not sure they would get along but that would be a formidable team

Parche[d]: My best driver pairing: James Hunt (drivers are mind bendingly boring these days) and Nigel Mansell's moustache

Lyndon Roberts: Dream team: Schumacher (obvs) and Raikkonen. Pleased to see the Iceman get so many nominations, or is that the editor's filter?!

Wouldn't a Kimi filter on Instagram be awesome?

An update on how wet the track is.

    Sector one: Dry

    Sector two: Pretty dry

    Sector three: Quite moist

Nico Rosberg is still working out the limits on the moistened track. He locks up and goes into a run-off. Nothing too dramatic.

Rosberg, Vettel, Ricciardo and Bottas are among those on the track, and the grey stuff looks pretty dry considering it's just had a lake dropped on it.

I had huge admiration for Alain Prost. My other one is inexplicable - my first race I went to was the 1983 British GP and Rene Arnoux was on pole for Ferrari. So I'm afraid he's in my dream team.
