  1. Rosberg becomes world championpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2016

Ultimately the stats speak for themselves. Nico Rosberg has won nine races this season, and 12 of the 24 since losing out on the 2015 title to Hamilton in Austin.

To bounce back from that low in such impressive fashion surely means he deserves a world title?

He's closed out his wins professionally and produced some brilliant performances along the way. And in today's final race, he kept his nerve when it counted.

James Johnstone: Rosberg is a deserved world champion, fantastic end to the race, Mercedes were completely inappropriate with Lewis.

Nick Lowe: Why is there hate at Hamilton for slowing the pack? In a sport focused on tactics he was trying to win the championship.

Suzanne Bright: Come on Lewis, give him a hug!

Awkward in the pre-podium room. I didn't see Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg speak a word. A top three photo was as close as they got to each other.

Chamath De Silva: Don't know why people are getting annoyed at Hamilton. Senna and Schumacher both did the same, if not, worse.

Andrew Thatcher: Wouldn't it have just been easier for Rosberg to just overtake if he was that bothered.

Olly Willans: Doing anything to win is driving your competitor off the track. Lewis just backed him up a bit. Fair competitor.
