Felipe Massa is putting in a very solid performance for Williams. He is more than a minute behind race leader Sebastian Vettel, that equates to 1.5 seconds slower per lap.

Mercedes could have done with a dollop of common sense and looked above the pitwall, counted on their fingers and worked out where Lewis Hamilton was going to re-emerge into the race.
