    It's all happening!

Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll have both come to a stop. Stroll has stopped at the exit of Turn 1 with debris behind his Williams. It looks like there was a collision between Sainz and Stroll.

    The safety car is deployed.

Max Verstappen is into the wall!

Moments after pitting for more super-softs his brakes fail and he goes straight on at Turn 4.

"Brakes failed," he fumes. That's his race over.

Pressure from within and without for Valtteri Bottas. He says he is struggling for grip with his tyres. "We have a problem with the pressures, they are high," is the response.

We have really got a three way battle for the lead of this race now!

But even Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo in fourth and fifth aren't too far behind.

The top three cars are within three seconds of each other - this is proper Formula 1 racing!

Hopefully Kimi Raikknonen can close the gap and make it a six way battle for the lead.

Kimi Raikkonen gets down the inside of Felipe Massa down to turn one and moves into sixth as he looks to make his way back up through the field.

Next up for Raikkonen is Daniel Ricciardo, who is a sizeable four seconds down the road.

Just watching a replay of Lewis Hamilton's start and it wasn't the worst but then got a bit of wheelspin as he approached the first corner and Sebastian Vettel took full advantage.

Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas has just rattled off the fastest lap of the race to put six tenths of a second between himself and Sebastian Vettel.

At this early stage of the race, you can absolutely see that Ferrari has got the pace to try and stick with the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas.

And Max Verstappen has just set the fastest lap of the race so far!

This is a vital part of the race for Hamilton.

Sebastian Vettel is upping the pressure on Valtteri Bottas. The gap is down to half a second now.

Lewis Hamilton is a second behind Vettel but just absolutely nailed in through the first sector - the faster of all through there.

Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez were the biggest movers at the start of the race with both drivers having gained five places. Sainz is up to 11th while Perez is 13th.
