Wonder where a 65-place grid penalty would put Stoffel Vandoorne if it was applied fully?
Someone has done the maths...

Autology Motors: Based on his past moves, whatever Fernando Alonso thinks he should do for 2018, he should do the EXACT opposite. #AdviseAlonso
Elton Lam: Grab a deckchair, watch Netflix. My advice: stay with Honda. There’s IndyCar and Japanese GT options.
Kayleigh: Could Alo tag JB in for next year, take 2018 off to relax and come back to 2019 when McLaren have better a engine?
Valtteri Bottas, on super-softs, lowers the benchmark with a 1:46.491. Super-softs are the tyre of choice, although Felipe Massa is on ultras.
First time on the board courtesy of Daniil Kvyat as he does a 1:48.498.
Felipe Massa, by the way, is on track . He missed second practice after crashing heavily in first practice.
Daniil Kvyat is feeling good on those super-softs and cracks on with a flying lap.
Several other drivers have joined the Russian out on track now, one or two still on inters.
Amit Mandalia: Interesting stuff on Alonso. I believe he'll be at McLaren in 2018. About this session, it's nice to see cars without T-wings!
Sound Senz: Moving to Williams would be his worst decision. Then Honda Mclaren partnership might fire up.
Michael Z: Retire.....
Toro Rosso send Daniil Kvyat out to "have a good look around the track". He's giving the super-softs a try on the almost-dry circuit.
Fernando Alonso has been linked with a move to Williams. What would you advise Alonso to do next?

Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz Jr tells BBC Radio 5 live's Tom Clarkson which team he'd like to drive for next, and how meeting his hero Fernando Alonso in 2006 shaped his future.
Watch the video above.
The sun is out above Spa so those damp patches should dry quickly. Almost everyone has been out for an exploratory lap on inters but are back at base now.
Fernando Alonso had DRS problems yesterday... and he's got issues with it again today.
"The DRS did not close again," he reports.

Headline time-wise in Friday practice, Mercedes looked in good shape. On race runs, not so much. Sebastian Vettel was the quickest on the race runs - by a massive 0.6secs on average from Lewis Hamilton. That’s unlikely to be wholly representative but it’s still a worrying sign for Mercedes for two reasons. Firstly, because Ferrari don’t usually show their hand on Friday and are usually much more relatively competitive on Saturday. And secondly because Vettel admitted he’d been struggling.
“For me I was not so happy,” he said. “I did not really find the rhythm, especially on the short run. The long run was better. So overall I think the car is there to do the job, to go fast, but we just need to get it right on all fronts and I just need to do my job and then we should be fine. The grip is fine but we just need to find the right balance. sliding a bit too much in places with the rear, washing out at the front, stuff we can influence, I can influence by driving differently, we should be fine.”
The green light goes on at the end of the pitlane and we're up and running with final practice.
There was rain overnight, so there is the odd damp patch on the circuit at the moment. Kevin Magnussen is first out, inters on his Haas.

Joanna Harran: Fernando doesn't need the best car, just one that will keep up with him. He will do the rest.

McLaren’s Stoffel Vandoorne was already set for a 35-place grid penalty here because of an engine change ahead of the weekend - to a new spec of power-unit. That became 40 on Friday when it became clear he needed a new gearbox. It’s now become 65 after Honda discovered problems in his new engine on Friday and replaced it for today. That means the Belgian is running the spec 3.5 engine, the same as Fernando Alonso, rather than the spec 3.6 he had on Friday. And it is yet more problems for a new-spec Honda engine. The penalty is academic - he was already at the back. It’s what it says about the state of things that is more important.
Bad news for Stoffel Vandoorne. The grid penalty fairy visited him overnight and put something under his pillow - a further 25 grid penalties...
