I gave you wrong information earlier. Alonso is still running but his McLaren must be carrying some major damage.
Sebastian Vettel on team radio before stopping: I think I have damage on the front left.
Race engineer: Big damage on the sidepod, stop the car. Stop the car.
Vettel: You sure?
Engineer: Yes, stop the car now.
Vettel: Sorry guys. Sorry. Really sorry.
This has all played beautifully into the hands of Lewis Hamilton, who now leads this race under the safety car.
Top 10: 1 Hamilton; 2 Ricciardo; 3 Hulkenberg; 4 Perez; 5 Bottas; 6 Palmer; 7 Vandoorne; 8 Ocon; 9 Sainz; 10 Magnussen

Looking at a replay Sebastian Vettel was very aggressive going into the inside. He gave Max Verstappen nowhere to go and Raikkonen then tagged him so Vettel at least partly to blame.
Further round the lap, Sebastian Vettel appears to spin on oil from his own damaged car.
He's out as well. Both Ferraris out at a race they were expected to dominate!
Kimi Raikkonen: I am OK. It is just ridiculous.

The best chance Ferrari have had this year for Sebastian Vettel to retake the lead and it is his team-mate that has put the spanner in the works. This is a dream come true for Lewis Hamilton!
Off the start, the Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel sandwiched the Red Bull of Max Verstappen and all three make contact.
The fast-starting Raikkonen hit Verstappen and speared sideways into his team-mate.
Raikkonen then continued in a damaged car and collected Verstappen again at Turn One. They then collect Fernando Alonso in the secondary collision.
All three men are out. Safety car is out
Lights out, away they go!
