  1. Are Hamilton & Vettel true rivals?published at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November 2017

    Andrew Benson
    BBC Sport’s chief F1 writer

Hamilton and Vettel are two of the four best drivers in Formula 1 at the moment: the other two being Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso.

There's no doubt Hamilton regards Vettel as a very serious rival, as he's proved to be this year, it's just a shame the championship fizzled out a little bit.

This is the second shortest lap after Monaco, so traffic is a massive factor.

In Q1 tomorrow, when you've got twenty cars going out on the track at the same time, the guy who gets the clear lap will be the one who sets the lap time.

The drivers are going to have to work really closely with their engineers to make sure they're on the track at the right time.

After a fairly lengthy spell in the McLaren garage, Fernando Alonso is back out on the track.

He's on a used set of softs.

Daniel Ricciardo has been the one who's been complaining less of the two Red Bulls today.

Max Verstappen has been very outspoken on the radio this morning saying the front end isn't doing what he wanted it to do - particularly through that twisty middle sector.

It's not been a good session at all for Fernando Alonso. He's only managed five laps and he is currently stood in the McLaren garage, watching on as mechanics work on his car, which is up on the jacks.
