Richard Rowland: George Abecassis born in Surrey co-founder of HWM . I think 2 races.

Excellent work by Richard here, who has found another British F1 driver called George.

George Abecassis entered two races - the 1951 and 1952 Swiss GPs, retiring from both.

    Smokey, smokey.

A big puff of the white stuff spits out of the back of Brendon Hartley's Toro Rosso. It continues to stream out of it and he pulls over to the side of the track.

The virtual safety car is deployed.

Lewis Hamilton has a bit of a cold this weekend, the legacy of a trip to Machu Picchu in the break between races.

He took 30 friends and family on a beach holiday first, and then went up to the famous Inca city in the clouds - and it lived up to its name when he arrived.

"We landed and it was miserable," he said. "When we landed we came through the darkest cloud I've ever seen and I was like, ‘What am I doing here?’. It was raining so much the first night, I was praying like 'please be clear tomorrow'. The next day it was clear and went up to Machu Picchu and it was beautiful. The next day I did the other mountain that's next to it, Winay Wayna, and that day it was raining and it was cold. I caught this cold. Otherwise I feel great - I just don't sound great.”

Interlagos is a trick little track because of those curves, so you've really got to use the corners and mistakes are punished.

It's great that George Russell has been given the opportunity, but this is a track that demands respect.

He's got to keep it clean, otherwise this could be an expensive morning.

Can Lewis Hamilton threaten Michael Schumacher’s records for titles and wins, which once seemed impregnable?

“It depends, really,” says the world champion. I can continue winning for a long, long time. I guess ultimately it depends if the fight remains within you. Of course it is still there now. I still don't really have a desire to chase Michael, although I am obviously a lot closer than I ever was. I think before it felt so distant, getting 91 wins. But maybe now… It's still a long way off, but it's not impossible to think that I could potentially get somewhere near."

Four world titles at the age of 32. Assuming Lewis Hamilton fancies sticking around for a while then he has a real chance of retiring as the most successful F1 driver of all time.

But where does he rank alongside the greats? This has caused plenty of debate on social media, take a look at what 5 live commentator Jack Nicholls has to say in the video below.

  17. Plenty still to play for (really)published at 11:41 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November 2017

    Andrew Benson
    BBC Sport’s chief F1 writer

Lewis Hamilton has tied up the title but he still has plenty he wants to prove in these last two races of the season.

He says he does not like to dwell on the past, but his three consecutive losses to team-mate Nico Rosberg after clinching the title in 2015 still fester, and he said on Thursday: “I don’t want to be in that position again.”

There is also the matter of rubbing the noses of Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel in their implosion. “It is a better time than ever to apply even more pressure, just because you can,” Hamilton said.

Do these final races matter? You bet they do.
