Now Fernando Alonso goes second quickest as he posts a 1:37.450.
"The track is drying up quickly so I think this is the last run on inters," reports Alonso.

They are just changing Lewis Hamilton's steering wheel.
Sebastian Vettel has joined the intermediate party and he swiftly pops in the second quickest time of the session, getting to within 1.974 seconds of Max Verstappen's time.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is doing what Max Verstappen does best in wet conditions. He goes quickest of all with a 1:35.548. That puts him 2.3 seconds clear of his Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, who is second quickest.

Biggg twitch for Max Verstappen slap bang in the same place as Nico Hulkenberg as the back end of his Red Bull steps out, snapping towards the wall at the exit of Turn 10. Verstappen manages to catch it just in time.
"The white lines are very slippery out of 9," he reports.
And Stoffel Vandoorne goes second quickest with 1:41.148.
That is indeed the cue for drivers to move onto inters. Stoffel Vandoorne heads out on that compound, as does Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
Ooooh a scary moment for Nico Hulkenberg as his Renault briefly snaps out of control heading onto the back straight. He's very close to the wall but keeps it together, managing to complete his lap in 1:39.082.

Everyone else will be watching this from their screens and if Hulkenberg does something that is half handy this might be the cue to make the switch.
