    Nico Hulkenberg follows his team-mate Carlos Sainz in pitting but he goes onto the mediums. He comes back out in 15th, behind Pierre Gasly but it doesn't take him long to use the fresh rubber to power past the Toro Rosso.

    Now the question is what Red Bull do on the strategy. They are dropping away. Verstappen is more than four seconds behind Valtteri Bottas. If they pit now they are into a two-stop strategy and everyone else around are on the soft tyre and have the option of a one-stop.

    Not much change in Sebastian Vettel's advantage out in front with his lead over Valtteri Bottas currently 2,4 seconds.

    Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, is still fifth but 10 seconds behind Vettel. A sixth race win in China is looking a million miles away for him at the moment.
