The Sky Sports stats team has been asking the question: When did Mercedes last have a double mechanical retirement? The answer they have come back with? The Italian Grand Prix... of 1955.
Mike K Douglas: How have Mercedes not noticed that Hamilton destroys tyres? He’s been struggling to keep them in shape for ages now and it’s getting worse! He makes super softs look like ultras!
Jacqui Baker-Stubbs: I’m not sure if I should be surprised that Kimi wasn’t asked to pull aside for Vettel?
Jeremiah Kariuki: Mercedes came to the track as the favourite. Everyone was saying this was their race to lose. And they did that. They lost the lost with some clumsy strategy.
You'll notice Fernando Alonso has taken eighth place there. About 15 minutes into the race, the McLaren driver was grumbling on his radio that he did not have the strategy to complete 71 laps. You can understand his cynicism, given his misfortunes at the past three races - but he not only finished, he picked up four points. That takes him on to 36 for the season.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, who came third, said: "I told Max he had a very good race, very consistent, no mistakes.
"Obviously it would've been nice to start further up, I was left with no place to go at turn one and lost the momentum.
"It was damage limitation but the pace was very good and the tyre management was very good. A positive day but it could've been better."
I talked a lot before the race about Daniel Ricciardo's birthday - but it is Sebastian Vettel who has got the present he wanted. Vettel, who turns 31 on Tuesday, will head to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix a point ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the championship standings. Let's hear from the Ferrari driver...
Kimi Raikkonen, who finished second: "I had to back off at turn one because the cars were squeezed together. After that, the car came good, but we just ran out of laps, and we took it easily too long. We had the right car, today, some points were a little bit difficult, but it was a good day for the team."
Race winner Max Verstappen said: "It was amazing, very hard to manage the tyres, lot of blistering, but we manged to hand on. it was amazing to win at the Red Bull Ring with so many Dutch fans here.
"I needed to catch up with the points, today was a very good day for me and I hope we can continue like this."
Three of the top six in the drivers' championship failed to finish today, so that's mixed things up a touch...

Verstappen: "This is amazing in front of tall those fans at the Red Bull Ring."
"Wait until you see the rear tyres, they are going to be ugly."
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Romain. Enjoy the moment!

Oh, and by the way, Romain Grosjean is fourth - collecting his first 12 points of the season.
Now THAT was a race.
"This feels good!" shouts Max Verstappen over his team radio. There was another word in there, but I'm not allowed to broadcast it on the BBC.
They have now!
Max Verstappen sends the Dutch fans wild. Kimi Raikkonen takes second with a new lap record of 1:06.957. Sebastian Vettel's third place regains him the drivers championship lead.
