Fernando Alonso speaking to BBC Sport on his earlier crash: "Lets wait a couple of hours to see if I have any problems, but we're all OK. The halo was a very good thing to have today.. I think it helped Charles (Leclerc). Compared to 2012, I am definitely happier with a halo, so it's a good thing to have.

Euan: I've come to the conclusion that no matter how quick Kimi is, he will never win as his weekend will implode faster than Force India's previous financial problems.
Nathan Marzan: Kimi is becoming a joke at Ferrari. Mostly used as guinea pig and seems to get every faulty component from Vettel's car added to his.

There was no way Sergey Sirotkin was going to stay in front of Valtteri Bottas for long. And the Finn is now in the points. The Sauber of Marcus Ericsson in ninth shouldn't cause too many problems either, he's next.

What a start to the race, and listen again to the moment Fernando Alonso went airborne, over the Sauber of Charles Leclerc.

Bottas jumps past Carlos Sainz and had earlier got past Brendon Hartley. Remember the Finn expected to start the day 19th, actually started 17th and now is 11th, chasing down Sergey Sirotkin, who is after his first point of the season.

Red Bull versus Force India. There was only going to be one winner. Sergio Perez, realising he is in the slower car, does not put up much of a fight and Max Verstappen gets past him to move up to third from a starting position of seventh.
That's 60,000 happy Dutch men and women cheering.
