  1. Raikkonen outpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 26 August 2018

    Lap 9/44

    That's four gone.

One of the BBC F1 team is very distraught at Kimi Raikkonen's retirement. That opening lap damage with a shunt with Daniel Ricciardo could just not be fixed and for the third time this season Raikkonen's race ends early.

Kimi Raikkonen is in the pits again... they're not doing anything with the car.

It looked they were just looking at the rear wing, maybe he was having problems with DRS. There was a lot of head scratching and some man handling of it.

    Lap 8/44

Kimi Raikkonen is back in the pits for a second time. He is down in 16th. Remember in Q2 he broke the lap record, but in Q3 he was left stranded in the garage as the track dried off.

That left him down in sixth place, but a first-lap tangling with Daniel Ricciardo caused him an early puncture, and now he has to fix even more damage to his Ferrari.

Furious moment for Alonso, but it wasn't his fault. It was Hulkenberg behind him. It is infuriating for Alonso, he will be going back and looking at the replays as an innocent party...

  5. 'A really horrible moment'published at 14:31 British Summer Time 26 August 2018

    Lap 7/44

Leclerc is out, Alonso out, Hulkenberg out.

Charles Leclerc is just walking past and I asked if he was OK and he smiled as if to say 'I don't know' then he waved at the crowd and they clapped for him. A really horrible moment there with a car going over the top of his head. He will be looking closely at the replays for that.

Brilliant move from Max Verstappen, to the delight of the home fans. He leaves it late, feigns right and goes left just nabbing Esteban Ocon at the corner. Great move. Verstappen fourth, Ocon's team-mate Sergio Perez is next up for the Belgian-born Red Bull man.

F1 is a tough, tough game. Charles Leclerc trudges back to the pits after his race was ended when Alonso flew over him.

But Leclerc should just thank his lucky stars that he has got away from that one unscathed. That could have been an absolute disaster.

What a chance for some lesser teams to grab some points. Raikkonen down in 15th, Ricciardo 17th and a lap down.

That little lock up might have cost Hamilton what he needed to overtake Vettel after the safety car restart.

It seems that Kimi Raikkonen's puncture was caused by Daniel Ricciardo. Both seem able to carry on, with the Australian two laps down after some frantic repairs from Red Bull.
