Ferrari are five tenths away from Mercedes. Still definitely advantage Mercedes.
Q1
Just Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo yet to go out in Q1.
What about tyres?
This weekend we have:
In FP1 yesterday, the drivers complained the track was "dirty", but said it had improved by the end of FP2, so those fragile hypers will make all the difference during this session.
Rod Peel: Good morning from Bolivia. Can Ferrari turn up the wick? Is it a Mercedes given front row? Let’s see!
Jeremiah Kariuki: Will Ferrari defy the form and deliver a pole? That's a big if! But Kimi could be at it with his ice cool attitude.
David M: Like most teams, Ferrari are good at sandbagging, but surely we're looking at a Merc front lock out, fingers crossed
"A bit of a mistake," says Lance Stroll, who goes wide at Turn Eight and makes a hash of his first lap.

Q1
Raikkonen has now over taken his team-mate, making up second, only one tenth behind Bottas at the top.
So far it's Bottas ahead of Vettel and Raikkonen, but only by a couple of tenths.
Vettel needs some luck, maybe his shiny new helmet will help.

Bottas fastest, with a strong final sector.

Sauber’s Charles Leclerc did not have his best day on Friday, beaten by a different team-mate in both sessions on his first experience of Sochi - first by 2019 Sauber driver Antonio Giovinazzi and then by the outgoing Marcus Ericsson.
The Monegasque, who steps up to the big league with Ferrari next season, said he “was still working on finding the track’s rhythm”, and in so doing sounded not a little like his future team-mate Sebastian Vettel, who often blames a lack of rhythm when he is a little off.
Charles Leclerc. He drove the wheels off his Sauber earlier on this year, but seemed to be struggling yesterday.
Andrew Benson has some analysis...
First up is Kevin Magnussen in his Haas with a 1:34.078. Quicker than the two Williams already, I've said this before during the race in Spa, but it really isn't that difficult, is it?

With the engine penalties coming for some of the teams it is a chance for Williams and Sergey Sirotkin in his home race.
While it has been a difficult season for them, if he can have a strong home race it will put a smile on his, Williams' and his backers' faces.

This is so crucial in the whole championship. It is going to be intriguing and there is huge pressure on Sebastian Vettel.
