Vettel on the slicks too. Him and Magnussen are now both on the red softs. Brave, very brave. He had gone from 20th to seventh, and Vettel is now 11th. All of nothing for the German in his home race.

Lap 24/64
Enjoying this. You should be.
Lap 23/64
Magnussen the maverick. Part two. He dives on to the slicks. Genius or stupidity? We will soon find out.
Crazy.
Lap 22/64
"Rain in the pitlane, we have rain in the pitlane."
Lap 22/64
Fancy some more rain? Of course you do.
Lap 22/64
"These tyres are pretty knackered."
Lap 20/64
"************** sorry guys."
Could've been worse for the Spaniard though. He's still in the hunt for a point, but is now down to 14th, behind team-mate Lando Norris. Sainz had started seventh.
Lap 21/64
"You are the fastest car on track by two seconds."
Lap 21/64
Charles Leclerc is on the newer inters so is much quicker at the moment, currently holding the fastest lap bonus point, but needs it to rain after his rivals pit for slicks.
But will they?

He was in the points but now he's gone off - he hasn't quite hit the barriers. He rejoins and that's going to be second thoughts for anyone considering slicks.

It's slippy out there. Carlos Sainz, slips, slides, off he goes. But he is a lucky lad. He comes to a halt metres from the wall, manages to get it going again and rejoins the race. He's still in it, just about.
Lap 18/64
Hamilton's lead is now at a commanding six seconds, but this is far from done with all sorts of weather carnage still predicted.
"Just be patient Max."
Lap 18/64
Out so far...

That's exactly what Verstappen has as he tries to get past Bottas but they both slid off.
Lap 17/64
We're back racing. Max Verstappen then nearly collects Valtteri Bottas. Breathless, but brilliant action.
In or out? Nico Hulkenberg in the last session possible, dives into the pits.
"How we getting on, lads?" Have you got any cash in that holdall, Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri?
