Colin Acton: Yet more failures from the Ferrari team, wonder if Leclerc is hoping for a vacancy in Mercedes or Red Bull? It may be the only way to win a title as it looks like Ferrari haven't got it in them to challenge.

Despite Robert Kubica retiring, he's only retired in one other race this year (Russia), while his Williams team-mate George Russell has failed to finish twice.

Mercedes have only had one retirement, while Vettel's failure is Ferrari's fourth of the season.

Hamilton's lead is down to five seconds over Valtteri Bottas. Verstappen is six seconds further back. Then Leclerc miles behind, and Albon miles behind him, although he has recovered well from being last.

"We need eight tenths a lap on Hamilton."

A good day so far the McLaren team. Lando Norris is seventh, Carlos Sainz eighth. Daniel Ricciardo, only 10th in the championship in his debut season at Renault, is in sixth position.

Hamilton with a nine-second lead, but can he make his tyres last?

Nate H: Lewis will probably be able to finish 8th or above even if he can’t make the tyres last and has to pit. But he can sniff a win. And he will want to be top of the podium and champion won’t he?! That’s his mentality and why he’s so good.

Verstappen pits for the second time. Hards off, mediums on for a 21-lap stint. He drops to third, with Hamilton inheriting his second position.

Carlos Sainz is another to run wide at Turn Nine and, just like Nico Hulkenberg before him, does a little bit of damage to his car by going over the sausage kerb. Unlike Sebastian Vettel though, his car is still in the race.
