The Mercedes are back out on track, with Max Verstappen also joining in.
Sergio Perez moves up into fifth, ahead of team-mate Lance Stroll, with a rapid lap.
Charles Leclerc is down in eighth in the Ferrari, Carlos Sainz is ninth with Esteban Ocon's Renault yet to get rid of the chocs and register a time.
Alex Albon is fourth fastest, just behind team-mate Max Verstappen. Lance Stroll and Daniel Ricciardo are fifth and sixth respectively.
Lewis Hamilton clocks a 1:15.144 and Valtteri Bottas is...slower! Five hundredths off.
And Max Verstappen is 0.402 seconds behind in third.
Carlos Sainz is the first man to press a pedal in anger in Q3. His time is quickly wiped out by Lance Stroll in the Racing Point.
And here come the big guns...
Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are tip-toeing round on a installation lap, treating those tyres with kid gloves.
Italian Grand Prix winner Pierre Gasly, who was eliminated in Q1, speaking to Sky Sports: "In practice we were good. We made changes in qualifying but the the car was still nice.
"It was frustrating as we made mistakes towards the end of the session.
"We know we are faster than we are now. It's not going to be easy to pass here so we'll try something different."

Kevin Prior: Normal trend Hamilton picks up big time in Q3 and I guess due to pressure Bottas don't deliver same performance from practice sessions. But i think it'll be very close and I mean by 0.010 or 0.001.
Steve: This circuit looks really rubbish for racing I predict hardly any overtaking in the race.
The Racing Point of Lance Stroll rolls out the pit lane, closely followed by the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas as we enter the final shoot-out.
Could Max Verstappen break up the Mercedes front-row party?
The Dutchman's Red Bull has been very fast through the third sector.

Charles Leclerc is looking good around Mugello, he seems to really gel with this circuit and he's got a real chance of getting up into that top battle.
Lando Norris, Daniil Kvyat, Kimi Raikonnen, Sebastian Vettel and Romain Grosjean will all be missing Q3 after finishing 11th-15th respectively.

It was a McLaren showdown between Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz. They both improved - a few in the field didn't - but it was Sainz that did the better lap.
Carlos Sainz leap-frogs team-mate Lando Norris to take 10th and relegate his fellow McLaren into the elimination zone.
Sergio Perez on a flier.... but he can't improve on his ninth. And Racing Point team-mate Lance Stroll is also unable to climb higher than sixth.
Kimi Raikkonen moves up above Sebastian Vettel in the basement.
Carlos Sainz comes barrelling out of the McLaren garage, he is chasing a time that elevates him out of 12th and back into the top 10.
Seven minutes left in the session and at the opposite end of the timing sheets, Kimi Raikonnen, Romain Grosjean, Sebastian Vettel, Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat are all in the drop zone.
Lando Norris is in the precarious 10th position.

Anyone can get into Q3 at this stage.
It's about hooking up the lap, not running through the gravel and keeping it all nice and neat - Kimi Raikkonen seems to have the pace to get into Q3 here.

quixoticgeek: This circuit is amazing to watch. Spectacular setting. Why do we not come here more often? beats every tilkedrome on the calendar...
Keinonen: Somewhat hilarious that Raikkonen and Grosjean were both faster than Vettel in Q1... Not a very good outlook right there for Ferrari on their celebratory GP!

Some nice slipstreams for Max Verstappen coming out of the final corner. Game on! Verstappen has never been this close in a Q2 session.
