Thomas Curryer: You cannot doubt Lewis Hamilton. A master of maintaining tyre life without losing much lap time! Great strategy by Mercedes.

Hamilton's race pace really is something else. No one else can keep pounding out the laps like he can.

    Jolyon Palmer
Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Hamilton was just too good today. Verstappen gave it everything. His dive down turn one was bold and so aggressive. Lewis has driven absolutely superbly.

Hamilton and Verstappen are the two stand-out performers. Bottas is a good driver but is not as good as Hamilton. Hamilton is obviously top line but so is Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton's lead is 19 seconds and it's going to be three wins in four races this season.

Verstappen won the other one and he's heading for the second step on the podium for the third time in 2021.

  19. Postpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

We're getting all sorts of jumping around in the lower points finishes as team's strategy is paying off or not. George Russell's hopes of a point look like they're going to be dashed, down in 14th.

  20. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

Verstappen gets the fastest lap so he's set to pick up 19 points, while Lewis Hamilton, who started the day eight points ahead, is going to get 25.

So Hamilton's lead will be 14 points, unless something crazy happens late on.
