What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing and expecting different results!
That's exactly what Mercedes have done.
Hamilton is on the medium tyres, Verstappen is on the hards. How much can Hamilton eat into the lead on the supposedly quicker tyres? He's three seconds away with 30 laps to go.

The Dutch fans are on their feet cheering because, once again, Max Verstappen has held off the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.

Peter Stewart: Another wrong call by Mercedes strategists
And straight away Verstappen comes in to the pits. Red Bull need to be perfect, and they are with a 2.1 second stop.
All the hours and hours of tyre changing practice may have just helped Max Verstappen win this one.
He's on the hards and they will go to the end.
"You've had great pace, great pace. Keep pushing."
Mercedes go early with a second stop for Lewis Hamilton. It's a better stop than his first one and Mercedes will be hoping he can go for the rest of the 32 laps.
Will that force Red Bull's hand?
"Keep this pace up, Max. This is mega. You've got track position over Bottas, as well."
"Everything we've got for the next four-five laps, please Max."
Vettel is quite lucky indeed as he spun right in the way of Valtteri Bottas, who was behind him on the banked section of the track. Luckily there's enough space for Bottas to safely get out of the way and no harm done to either man.
A spin for Sebastian Vettel very briefly brings out the yellow flags and that bumps him down to 17th, but he can get going again so it turns green again very quickly.

Lewis Hamilton is the fastest man on track and still only a second behind.
He's doing all he can and keeping the pressure on Verstappen's shoulders, but the Dutchman has been absolutely perfect so far as we move into the second half of the race.

This is going to be the key for the second part of the grand prix: Can Hamilton stay close enough to do the undercut on Verstappen for the win?
Can he be close enough that he can come into the pits before Verstappen, put on a new set of tyres, have more speed for a lap or two and then get ahead of the Red Bull?
That is going to be the question.
Speeding in the pit lane is what he's done.

Matthew Stone: Lewis Hamilton is kidding himself, his teammate literally let him past and he’s saying Max is getting lucky. Give me a spell.
