A perfect start from Max Verstappen and he's already stretched his advantage to two seconds over Lewis Hamilton.
Mercedes had hoped to nail him off the line, but that didn't happen so they may need some tactical gambles to get the result they want today.
Ricciardo is smoking and dropping oil.
Tyre news - Russell, Norris, Kubica, Schumacher and Latifi are on the mediums. Perez, who started from the pits, is on the hards with everyone else on the softs.

Lewis Hamilton had a pretty similar start to Max Verstappen but Verstappen got a better second part of the acceleration zone on the cleaner side of the grid.
It's as you were at the start. Fernando Alonso is the first to overtake, jumping Antonio Giovinazzi and Esteban Ocon to gain two spots off the line.
Verstappen holds on to the lead into the first corner, and a huge cheer from the Dutch fans. Gasly attacks Bottas, but Bottas holds on to third.

Max Verstappen is going to fight Lewis Hamilton all the way. He will not make it easy for Hamilton to go up the inside. I think this will be like Silverstone and Verstappen will put it all on the line.
Dutch GP. Let's do this.

It looked like Max Verstappen was marching away with the championship just a few races a go but the clash at Silverstone [with Lewis Hamilton] but a massive dent in that.
Then Verstappen was driven into by the other Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas in Budapest. Then that flipped the championship on its head. So, in two races, Verstappen went from 30-point lead to an eight-point deficit - five of which were retrieved in the non-event of last week's Belgium Grand Prix.
I don't think he would've taken a lot of satisfaction from that, other than just slightly chipping away at the lead. If he wins this one, the satisfaction will be immense. Home race, in front of the home support and a championship lead.
It's the formation lap time. Everyone away nicely, which is always a good start.
Get comfortable, this could be special.

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton alongside each other on the front row. As many spectators as the Dutch government has allowed - about 65,000 - packed into Zandvoort, the vast majority wearing orange and cheering on the local hero, who has looked imperious all weekend.
But the title contenders head into a race packed with jeopardy, on a track on which there has been a red flag in every session so far, on which overtaking is difficult, which is narrow and that punishes mistakes hard. One never knows for sure with Formula 1, but this is expected to be a dramatic and eventful afternoon in the dunes by the North Sea.

Ayush Goel: I think there won't be many overtakes, but could be red flags, safety cars or VSC which might make the race interesting. Hoping it's not a straight forward one.
George Cooper: The saying “if it ain’t Dutch, it ain’t much” rings to mind when listening to the atmosphere at the #DutchGP, external, incredible!
We normally like a wet race, but after last week, no-one will be sad to see the sun out today.
