Verstappen's always very strong on restarts so he was very close coming out of the last corner and the Red Bull is always very strong on straight line speed so it was pretty clear that he was going to go past.
Max Verstappen is hitting purple sectors on those soft tyres as we clock in at lap 63 of the Dutch Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton is in second and his team-mate George Russell occupies the last podium spot.
The fans in the grandstand got a great view of their hero leaving Lewis Hamilton for dust. Max Verstappen is now in possession of a 2.072secs advantage over the Mercedes.
Max Verstappen wastes no time in passing Lewis Hamilton into Turn 1 and the Dutchman retakes the lead of his home grand prix.
Lewis Hamilton doesn't have a wingman to buffer out the threat of Max Verstappen's Red Bull. The crowd are going crazy in the stands.

I think Sainz's exit from the box was definitely slower than normal because of the car in front but to me that definitely looks like an unsafe release because you cannot accelerate in the pitlane.
"We had a buffer between us and now we don't have that."
