Lookout competitors in Plymouth. The Steffen Freund FC are going into today's match with the support of their namesake.

Upon hearing about the team, the former Tottenham Hotspur's player sent a personal letter and has even invited himself down to watch the guys play.

This was a great result for team captain, Will Sugg, who had contacted the footballer while finding ways to procrastinate and avoid his university studies.

It was only after they had decided on a name that the futsal team realised Fruend was unlucky when it came to goal scoring during his time at Spurs.

Hopefully they won't have that problem today.
