A tense game of walking football on pitch three where Wokingham UB50 were beating Birmingham Walking Football FC 2-0.

In a heartbeat Birmingham came back to make it a 2-2 draw.

But Wokingham kept their composure to secure the win 3-2 on penalties.

No third time lucky for Birmingham then, nightmare!

Could this be third time lucky for Birmingham Walking Football Club?

Having reached the final stages of the tournament in the previous two years, the team are determined to come out triumphant in 2017.

Using a renovated old tennis club as a training facility, the Midlands based club has grown incedibly from 15 members only three years ago, to a whopping 300 members, running 12 sessions a week.

After a cruciate ligament injury, player/coach, Paul, feels the FA People's Cup has given him a chance to play his first competitive football in 23 years.

"Walking football gives us all a big sense of involvement and a boost in confidence," he said.

    Good luck guys!

    Dribble.. pass... shoot... attack.

These are all terms the ladies at Wockey FC are used to hearing. But, not in the way you think.

The Wockey ladies (the name may be a give-a-way), are in fact a team of hockey loving uni friends, who decided to widen their sporting repertoire and give football a go.

As all passionate advocates of women's sport, the team are pleased to see the women's game taken seriously in the FA People's Cup, and are over the moon to reach the finals at the first attempt.

From hockey, to football. Go girls!

This is proof that there really are three of us working on this live! I didn't see that Wockey had beaten me to that cheesy pun when I thought of it too, honest. Great minds think alike ladies!

    • Nottingham Medics
    • Warwick Medics

Our final categories of this special Sunday are the Higher Education bouts, or University teams to me and you.

And just look at some of these team names in the male competition. Excellent. I can't make up my mind whether Sesh Fabregas or Pathetico Madrid take first prize.

    • Bangor
    • Crowns FC
    • Filthy Fellas
    • My Friends
    • Pathetico Madrid

After undergoing surgery on her knee last summer, 19-year-old Violet, was determined she would be able to carry on playing the sport she loves.

"I went to watch my boyfriend play football one weekend and got asked to play for the ladies team. Ever since that day I've been training with Sherwood Ability Women's team."

Little did Violet know that her new team would soon be taking part in the FA People's Cup, and not only that, they would reach the finals!

"I joined to meet new people and gain confidence and fitness. I'm proving so many people wrong and I'm getting stronger. The club are really welcoming and I fit in really well."

Violent will be attending the finals as the team's 'player of the month' and will join her fellow team mates in their campaign to get to Wembley!
