  2. The other five-a-sidepublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

Before we get on to the other university regions, you might be wondering what futsal is exactly?

    • It's a variant of the five-a-side game which originates from South America in the 1930s.
    • The main difference to normal five-a-side football is the ball - in futsal it's smaller and has a reduced bounce.
    • Unlike normal five-a-side, the pitch is played to touchlines (and kick-ins after it goes out) with hockey-sized goals.
    • Players are also allowed to enter the penalty area and play the ball over head height.
    • There's a five-foul limit with a penalty for each infringement after the five-foul limit.
    • Games are normally 20 minutes per half, played to a stopping clock (similar to basketball) with time-outs permitted.

  3. ...to the North West...published at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2019

In Wigan, Manchester and Lancashire the games carried on through to this week.

Air shot, on the floor, tries again and ends up back heeling it!

To top it off ref gives a free kick the other way as you can’t play whilst on the floor.
