Charlotte Montgomery: My mums gonna be running the London marathon next year.. don’t know how she’s gonna make it the whole way without a cup of tea though

    David Weir

David Weir finishes fifth behind China's Dai Yungqiang.

The British Paralympic legend could not bridge the gap to the leading group after getting cut adrift around Tower Bridge and looked to be lacking a final sprint push, perhaps a consequence of his training being disrupted by a car crash in December.

  3. 'Romanchuk can get better'published at 10:42 British Summer Time 28 April 2019

    Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
Six-time London Marathon wheelchair race winner on BBC TV

Dan Romanchuk is such a young athlete, it usually takes a few more years to get to this stage. He still hasn't got his tactics right and he can get better. He hasn't cracked a smile yet and I don't think it's sunk in what he has just achieved.

  9. Meet the oldest female runnerpublished at 10:30 British Summer Time 28 April 2019

Eileen Noble is running her 20th marathon at the age of 84 and is the oldest female runner taking part.

Eileen, who lives in Bexleyheath, south-east London, started running in her 50s - or "huffing and puffing", as she describes it.

She found an immediate passion for her new hobby and has never looked back.

"If you've got any stresses or worries it seems to make them clear away," she says. "You come back and feel so much happier."

    Sinead Diver

All sorts of cloak and dagger, intrigue and mystery in the woman's race where the pacemakers have been ignored by the main contenders who are sitting back and playing it cool.

Instead Aussie Sinead Diver is out on her own in the front.

British hopeful Charlotte Purdue is sat in among the pack.

  16. 'Mo is not an angel'published at 10:13 British Summer Time 28 April 2019

    BBC Two

Mo Farah's coach Gary Lough said: ‘’There’s been a lot of allegations, mostly unfounded, exaggerations. It’s not all lies, Mo’s not any angel, there was a little bit of something that happened at one point but I think we’ve seen this week that the guy involved has come out and said ‘listen this was a little bit of a scuffle – my wife wasn’t involved’ – I think there’s just been a few slurs trying to bring him down this week, so it’s kind of been unfortunate’’
