    Q1: England 5-5 South Africa

The crowd cheer as England's defence forces South Africa to pass pack.

The ball eventually finds Lenize Potgieter, though and the GS scores. England have an easier time of it at the other end and Jo Harten equalises.

Another nervous start from England but this time, the crowd lifted them when they needed encouragement the most.

"Let's go England" echoed around the arena as the Roses pushed for a turnover.

Jo Harten missed her first shot and looked desperate to get her second chance quickly to settle any anxiety - and she did just that.

    Q1: England 4-4 South Africa

This time Jo Harten makes no mistake.

England are in the swing of things now as Serena Guthrie cuts across the course and immediately releases the ball to a free Helen Housby. Back even.

They needed that one to settle themselves.

England were struggling yesterday to get it into the circle. They just need to rotate a little and get the ball in to do things like that.

    Q1: England 0-2 South Africa

England defend well but Lenize Potgieter gets her hands on the ball and puts South Africa on the ball.

Then Karla Pretorius gets a turnover at the top of the D. Serena Guthrie puts her body on the line to try and get it back but is called up for contact. The England captain ended up on the floor and was trampled on before she could get up. Netball can be brutal.

    Q1: England 0-0 South Africa

    Sara Bayman
Former England captain on BBC Sport

South Africa were elated to be in the semi-finals and now they're in the bronze-medal match, maybe when they didn't expect to be. They've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. There's an amazing amount of belief in this team and I'm expecting them to come out and play with freedom.

England fans may have expected their side to be in the final, but the crowd are just as deafening as they have been through the whole tournament.

Tracey Neville is stoney faced and serious, as is Norma Plummer on the other bench.

Which coach will have reason to turn that frown into a smile at the final whistle?

    We'll soon find out.

Whatever happens today, this will surely be an emotional match for England.

"They know that this is the last time that they'll ever be together as a team and I hope that they make the most of that," said head coach Tracey Neville.

South Africa have been enjoying one of their best World Cups since they finished as runners up in 1995.

Their 74-year-old coach Norma Plummer will step down after this match, but the Australian has transformed the side during her time with the team.

The Proteas made their mark on this year’s tournament with an unexpected victory over Jamaica in the group stage and the world number five side will be looking to cause another upset today.

Tracey Neville said her side's "basic errors" cost them the New Zealand game.

"New Zealand came out really strong in the first quarter, "she said. "We didn't learn our lessons quickly enough. We seemed to be chasing the game, which is something we haven't done in this tournament.

"We gave it our all but didn't have the legs. This tournament is quite brutal. We've got another game tomorrow and we go again."
