Donegal boss Rory Gallagher is left disappointed as his team are caught in injury-time and makes clear his unhappiness at the six minutes of injury that the officials played.

So both Ulster football semi-finals require replays. Terrific contest here. These sides likely to face off at Breffni next Saturday night we're hearing. 

Anthony Thompson's foul gifts another equalising chance to McManus and the Monaghan man makes no mistake in the final minute of injury-time. Gonna be a replay, I think.

Monaghan's veteran sub Dick Clerkin carelessly gives the ball away in the middle of the field and after Donegal work the ball downfield, Christy Toye fists over the bar. Two minutes left.

McManus points a free to cut Donegal's lead to a point. There are going to be six minutes of added time. Plenty of time for Monaghan to get on terms. Sure enough, McManus points another long-range free within a minute. Great courage from the Monaghan man.

Monaghan keeper Rory Beggan misses a long-range chance to cut Donegal's lead to the minimum. Exciting stuff here.

Being reduced to 14 players has galvanised Donegal. Eoin McHugh doubles their lead as they seem to have the legs on Monaghan at this stage.

From the resultant free, McBrearty restores Donegal's lead.

Monaghan defender Colin Walshe is black carded for hauling down Ryan McHugh.

Conor McCarthy levels the contest again from a free but it's his final action as he is replaced.

But incredibly Donegal are ahead within a minute of McElhinney's premature departure as Odhran MacNiallais fires into the net after being given acres of space.

Donegal are down to 14 men as Martin McElhinney picks up a black card as he appears to take out Drew Wylie off the ball. McElhinney was yellow carded earlier and in gaelic football, yellow and black equals red.

McBrearty has his head in his hands as he blasts over the bar on the turn after good work by Ryan McHugh and Martin McElhinney. It was another goal chance.

McBrearty claims his curling free from 35 yards has gone between the posts but the umpires don't agree. Donegal still three behind.

Make that three as O'Connell slots his second straight point after another flowing Monaghan move.
