  5. Ready for Ulster's annual arm wrestle?published at 18:29 British Summer Time 25 June 2016

So after the Ulster Football Championship finally served up a contest last weekend, we have the province's now seemingly annual arm wrestle between holders Monaghan and 2012 All-Ireland kingpins Donegal.

The sides have met in the last three Ulster deciders. Monaghan dethroned the then Sam Maguire holders on a 0-13 to 0-7 scoreline in 2013. Revenge was Donegal's a year later as Jim McGuinness' squad grafted out a 0-15 to 1-9 success. But 11 months ago the Farney men were back in the winners enclosure as they edged a 0-11 to 0-10 victory over a Donegal side now guided by Rory Gallagher.

More recent form saw Monaghan fighting back from an early seven-point deficit to beat Donegal 1-10 to 1-9 in the league in early April.

There's never much in it between these rivals.
