    Superbike Race One

Alastair Seeley started the week having won a record 17 times at the North West 200.

The 'Wee  Wizard' from Carrickfergus is now on an amazing 20 having won Thursday's Superstock event and both of the races run so far today. The 37-year-old adds Superbike Race One to his opening Supersport victory.

It is Seeley's fourth career Superbike victory at this international road race meeting and his winning margin over England's Michael Rutter is 21.61 seconds

    Superbike Race One

Alastair Seeley is dominating the race and leads by seven seconds from Michael Rutter with over half of the race completed.

The Carrickfergus looks to have North West win number 20 in the bag - what an incredible record!

  7. Go! Go! Go!published at 15:07 British Summer Time 13 May 2017

    First Superbike race

At last - after the rain delay, oil spill problem, sighting laps and debates over tyre choices - the Superbikes are underway. No Michael Dunlop on the grid, though.

It's 45-year-old English rider Michael Rutter who gets away best.

But Alastair Seeley quickly hits the front on the opening lap. Glenn Irwin and Ian Hutchinson were just behind but a mistake at the chicane hampers both.

Order at the end of lap one: Seeley, Rutter, Johnston, Irwin.

  11. Riders concernedpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 13 May 2017

    Delay until 2.00pm

The riders return from the latest sighting lap and Alastair Seeley reports that is it just too wet for the 'big bikes'. Organisers appear to be contemplating changing the schedule, with perhaps putting the Supertwins out.

Riders' liaison Steve Plater says: "It is tough out there. The lying water is causing serious problems in seeing where you are going."

It is announced that racing will not resume until 2.00pm at the earliest.

It is still raining, but it looks like they're planning to resume.

    Oil on course

The Superbike sighting laps have been stopped because of oil on the road.

Officials report the oil came from Michael Dunlop's Suzuki machine and as soon as he realised he pulled over and reported the problem.

The conditions are damp out on the course. There will be two sighting laps and we will have a better idea when the riders come back. We'd hope to get the race on after that but have still to make a decision.
