Quote MessageIt's been a fantastic contest. Just what the Ulster Championship needed. Armagh had five goal chances in that first half. The Armagh full-forward line has looked very dangerous.
Armagh go in one ahead at the break as Stephen Sheridan lofts over a magnificent score from distance.
Down 0-09 Armagh 2-03
Andrew Murnin is inches away from his second goal as his shot comes back off the upright after another mazy run from Jamie Clarke.

The scores are flying over here in Newry. An Aidan Forker score is cancelled out by a Darragh O'Hagan Down point before Paul Hughes and Connaire Harrison then repeat the doses at either end. The upshot of it all is that Armagh remain a point ahead. Down's defence is looking decidedly shaky now when the Jamie Clarke-inspired attack is running at them.
Down 0-06 Armagh 2-01
The sense that the Ulster Championship is finally taking off today after a turgid couple of opening weeks is only increased by the big turnout of 16,168 at Pairc Esler.

What did I say about goal chances coming thick and fast? Armagh rattle in a second goal on 22 minutes as Andrew Murnin slots in from close range after Stefan Campbell's initial shot is blocked. Charlie Vernon was involved in the move before Jamie Clarke delivered a superb pass to a charging Campbell.
