Neil Kernohan and Davy Morgan were separated by 0.064 seconds as they crossed the line and that battle has continued throughout the lap.

Dokoupil and Elkin are now a comfortable in the 125s, but it's anyone's guess as to who will come out on top here.

Two great battles for the lead!

The Lightweights and Ultra-Lightweights are go!

    Just listen to the noise!

A special mention to Malcolm Love, who has let Gary Dunlop borrow his 125cc for this race after the Ballymoney man's bike blew up in practice.

Who will come out on top in this one?

  5. It's time for some nostalgiapublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Four lap race

Next up it's the Lightweight/Ultra-Lightweight race.

The Ulster is the only international road race in the world that still runs two strokes. It'll be quite a noise when this lot pull away off the grid.

Neil Kernohan was the fastest lightweight rider in qualifying with Davey Morgan and Gareth Keyes not too far behind.

Michal Dokoupil, who won last year, secured pole for the 125s ahead of Christian Elkin and Gary Dunlop.

This is one for those who love nostalgia.

"I was biding my time the first couple of laps and I was struggling to pass Dean. I managed to get a really good run out of the last corner and got in his slipstream. Once I got past I could do my own lines and hit all my markers. My bike was awesome and the overall the package we have is working really well. I got that lap record back for the Ulster so everyone can stop lynching me now.

    Win number seven for Hicky

The rider involved is the red flag incident is up and walking, according to the Ulster Grand Prix.

A result has been declared with Hickman cruising to his seventh Dundrod victory (Well we say that, he did set a lap of 136.415mph)

Dean Harrison is second and Conor Cummins rounds out the podium.

Now here's a question, is Hicky the best rider in the world at the moment?

    Hickman declared the winner

The red flags are out on the final lap.

A result will be declared with Peter Hickman taking his seventh Ulster Grand Prix win.

Dean Harrison and Conor Cummins round out the podium.

Hickman smashed the lap record with a stunning 136.415mph on his third circuit of Dundrod with a sensational performance.

    Absolutely INSANE!

  13. Hickman pulls the pinpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Lap 3/5

Hickman got the better of Harrison down the Flying Kilo at the start of lap three and has pulled away at the front.

He now leads by 3.228 seconds.

Harrison needs to watch he doesn't fall into the clutches of Manxman Cummins and don't count Johnston out of a podium spot yet either.

  14. Harrison still leadspublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Lap 3/5

Conor Cummins and Lee Johnston are now right on the tail of the Harrison/Hickman battle out front.

Hickman thinks above a move into the hairpin, but decides otherwise at the last moment.

Slipstream city it is down the Flying Kilo!

Sadly for those with local interest, Paul Jordan has pulled into the pits.

  15. Harrison hits the frontpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Lap 2/5

Peter Hickman got the bolt off the line but it was Dean Harrison who led as the Superbikes flew over Deer's Leap for the first time.

Hickman is second ahead of Conor Cummins and Lee Johnston.

There's then a slight gap with Davey Todd, Derek Sheils and Davo Johnson rounding out the top seven.

    Superbike race (Five laps)

Hickman fires away from pole position and leads down the Flying Kilo.

There is plenty of jostling for position behind, with Dean Harrison and Conor Cummins in the mix too.

What a start from Burrows Engineering's Derek Sheils too, up into third place!

Let's keep an eye on that lap record during the first few laps too.

  17. Who's your money on?published at 16:03 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Superbike (Five laps)

Hickman? Harrison? Cummins? Who do you pick for this one?

Peter Hickman dominated qualifying at Dundrod, but we know Dean Harrison loves riding round the Ulster and a rejuvenated Conor Cummins impressed here last season.

The crowd will be hoping a few of the other front runners can mix it with Hicky off the line, which could lead to an opening-race thriller.

If not, the Smith's BMW rider could clear off into the distance from pole position and make it victory number seven.

  18. Dunlop pulls out of Thursday's racingpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

Despite his double Superbike victory at the Armoy Road Races, Michael Dunlop has decided to sit out tonight's 1000cc race.

Dunlop fractured his pelvis in a crash at the Southern 100 in July before having his arm put in plaster after his Armoy heroics, but has decided to take the cautious approach for tonight's racing.

The six-time UGP winner still intends to race in the Superbike and Superstock races on Saturday.

"I've been down to the Tyco BMW awning. Michael is clearly limping and looks a bit downbeat," adds BBC Radio Ulster sumamriser Glenn Irwin.

  20. Fastest road race in the world?published at 15:33 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Ulster Grand Prix

Peter Hickman unofficially broke the lap record at the Ulster Grand Prix during this morning's Superbike practice, with a steady speed of 134.969mph.

If the rain stays away, which it is forecast to do, then the Smith's BMW rider could hold a new record by the end of the evening.

Could Hicky even claim the coveted 'fastest road race in the world' title back for the Ulster GP?

There are four races in tonight's schedule, with the Superbikes set to kick us off with a bang before the Lightweight/Ultra-Lightweight, Supersport and then Supertwins races rounding out the evening.

As always, you can listen to tonight's racing on BBC Radio Ulster MW or via the website and BBC Sport App.

You won't want to miss this tonight.
