  1. Bye four nowpublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 2 July 2023

And that brings us to the end of our two-day, double double-header of All-Ireland quarter-final live text commentaries.

The four games maybe didn't quite hit the heights we would have hoped for, but supporters of Kerry, Monaghan, Derry and Dublin will not be concerned about that as their sides move through to the semi-finals.

Thanks for joining us and we'll do it all again soon.

  2. 'We'll take plenty of lessons from it' - McStaypublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 2 July 2023

    FT: Dublin 2-17 Mayo 0-11

Mayo manager Kevin McStay on RTE:

In the end it's a big gap but at half-time it felt that we were absolutely where we thought it would be and we got ourselves into a really nice position. We gave one away that we'll be unhappy with and we missed one at the other end, so that was a big swing, we had our chances but you couldn't take anything away from Dublin.

Dublin found their championship form in a big way today and we suffered at their hands. They were incredibly accurate for a period. They weren't going to miss no matter where they fired from in the second half.

Small little things went against us in terms of chances, then Dublin went on a really hot streak. Dublin executed some great scores, they're a very fine team, there's no question about that. We got a tough lesson today but it hasn't been a bad season for us, we'll take plenty of lesson from it.

There was only one point in it at half time as Dublin led 1-6 to 0-8.

The Dubs came out flying at the start of the second half, though, and simply moved through the gears as the half progressed.

It soon became obvious that Mayo were never going to get back into the game.

    Eamonn Fitzmaurice
    Former Kerry manager on RTE

We've said all season it has the feeling of this last hoorah where Dublin have got the band back together, they're driving for it.

We've been questioning them, have they got it right? Are they undercooked? But we saw the best of them today and nobody is going to want to see them in the semi-final.

Colm Basquel is named man of the match - and deservedly so, too.

His two goals were huge for Dublin.

Con O'Callaghan is a fine footballer and he shows us just why with a lovely point.

Their appetite shows no sign of waning in the closing stages.

A goal and 11 points in this second half to Mayo's three points. Says it all, really.

What a demoralising second half this has been for Mayo.

Dublin have noticeably upped their physicality in the second half. They're making contact, sprinting to the tackle and Mayo can't live with it at the moment.
