The Slaughtneil man joins Eoin McEvoy and Conor McCluskey in the full-back line with Padraig Cassidy dropping to the bench.
For Cork, Kevin O'Donovan has been rewarded for his match-winning point in the preliminary quarter-final win over Roscommon last week.
O'Donovan starts at wing-back, replacing Luke Fahy, who injured his ankle against the Rossies.
Brian Hurley, who missed that game, has been passed fit and takes his place among the substitutes.

Derry's rise over the last couple of years has really been something.
Even captain Conor Glass has been surprised by the speed with which the Oak Leafers have established themselves as one of the top teams in Ireland.
Hawk-Eye will not be used for Sunday's quarter-finals at Croke Park after the system malfunctioned in Saturday's second quarter-final featuring Monaghan and Armagh.
Of course, there was also an issue with hawkeye in Derry's semi-final defeat by Galway last year.
Hopefully all of the points today will be clear-cut with no need for technology...
