  10. Division One: Tyrone v Galwaypublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    Team News

Tyrone have made three late changes to the team that was named to start. The most significant is the return of the captain Peter Harte, who did not play last time out against Derry.

He is in at left wing-back in place of Ben Cullen.

Cormac Quinn is in at right half-forward for Ruairi Canavan, who picked up a bang on the knee during Ulster University's Sigerson Cup final win over UCD on Wednesday night.

Carrickmore's Lorcan McGarrity makes his league debut at corner forward in place of Darren McCurry.

Tyrone have also recalled Conn Kilpatrick, who served a one-match ban as the Red Hands lost by six points to Mickey Harte's Derry last time out.

He replaces Tiarnan Quinn and is given the number 11 jersey.

Galway have made one change, again in the half-forward line, with Johnny Heaney coming in at the expense of Eoin Kelly.

    Orla Bannon in Healy Park

It's a mild, and so far dry, day in Healy Park in Omagh.

There is a slight breeze which in the first half will favour the team kicking into the Gortin Road end.

Visitors Galway have one point from four so far after an opening defeat in Mayo, which was followed by a draw with Roscommon.

It's been a mixed bag for Tyrone, who defeated the Rossies and then were well beaten by Derry. With tough games coming up, this is a game Tyrone will have targeted as being vital to their chances of top-flight survival.

    Healy Park, 13:45 GMT

After setting up camp in Enniskillen for the night ahead of today's game in Omagh, Galway boss Padraig Joyce raced to Celtic Park last night to watch Derry - who are Galway's next opponents in a week's time - hammer Monaghan.

Derry boss Mickey Harte was asked post-match whether he would return the favour by taking in Galway's game against his native Tyrone this afternoon in Healy Park.

    "We'll see," Harte smiled.

If he lands in Healy Park, no doubt the Tyrone fans will give him a warm reception.

We go again. After a busy Saturday, which yielded wins for Donegal, Derry and Cavan, we're all set for a busy Sunday of league action.

There's a top-of-the-table clash between two Ulster rivals in Division Three as Antrim host Down at Corrigan Park. Both sides won their opening two games, with the Mournemen currently edging today's hosts on points difference.

In Division Two, Armagh travel to Cullen Park to face Kildare, who are playing at the Carlow venue this afternoon with their Newbridge home still undergoing redevelopment work.

Armagh are two for two in the second-tier, while the Lilywhites are hoping to put their first points on the board.

But first, there is the small matter of Tyrone v Galway in Omagh. The Red Hands lost both encounters with Padraic Joyce's men in 2023 - in the league and All-Ireland group stages - and are hoping to bounce back from their defeat by Derry a fortnight ago.

Canavan brothers Darragh and Ruairi - who starred in Ulster University's Sigerson Cup final win on Wednesday - are both named in the Tyrone starting line-up this afternoon.
