    A very underwhelming closing period here in Newry as the fans begin to flood out of Pairc Esler.

    A good day at the office for Down and Conor Laverty. They secure their fifth consecutive league victory.

    Sligo battled right up until the final whistle but a well equipped and well organised Down side proved to be too much for Tony McEntee's side as Ceilum Doherty and James Guinness netted their goals.

    A Jack McCarron mark draws Monaghan level, but Galway re-take the lead through a Robert Finnerty free.

    On the balance of play Monaghan will be disappointed not to be ahead after Karl O'Connell shots wide before Darren Hughes and Dan O'Connell each hit the frame of the Galway goal.

    Armagh finished out the half the stronger of the two sides, as they have notched four of the last five points.

    The most recent was an outstanding piece of individual play from Peter McGrane, as he won possession back by blocking a Conor McGee shot, before getting down the other end and finishing the move by kicking a point.

    Fermanagh did get the last score of the half through Conor McShea, but their supporters were frustrated with how the half came to a close, as they held possession inside Armagh's 45-metre line for 30 seconds, but nobody took on a shot on before the referee blew his whistle and called time on the first half.

    Donegal 1-17 Louth 0-14

    Late scores from Oisin Gallen and Michael Langan seal the victory for Donegal and a two vital league points but they were pushed all the way by a stubborn Louth side.

    It means that Jim McGuinness's side need just one more win to secure promotion back to Division One for 2025.

    Donegal captain, Patrick McBrearty top-scored with eight points for the home team.

    A crowd of 4,125 piled through the turnstiles here at Father Tierney Park in Ballyshannon, the counties' first league game here in a decade and most of those patrons will head for home with a smile on their face.

    Armagh are two ahead following a superb Rory Grugan point after one-two with Ben Crealey.

    At the other end, Conor McGee's long ball was connected with by Joe McDade, who fired a soccer-style volley at goal, but Blaine Hughes showed great reflexes to keep the ball out.

    Armagh remain the only team yet to concede a goal in the Allianz Football League's four divisions.

    After Robert Finnerty opens Galway's account from a free, Monaghan cough up possession cheaply allowing the Tribesmen to break at pace and set up a simple score for Rory Cunningham.

    It's all a bit chaotic for Sligo, it looks like they're starting to panic.

    Down are completely in control here in Pairc Esler. Maintaining possession and patiently waiting for the right opportunities to open up.

    Around 10 minutes to go here in Newry, other than a miracle happening it looks like Conor Laverty's side will remain unbeaten.
