Team GB finish fifth whilst China win gold

Speaking of the diving, Great Britain duo Tonia Couch and Lois Toulson finished fifth after an untidy final dive as China took gold.

Diving dilemma as the pool turns green

So Great Britain are outside of the medals going into the final part of that gymnastics final. Away from that, do you remember how we said the water in the diving pool is starting to look a little green? Judge for yourself....

That was great routine but the flag went up for Claudia Fragapane.

It wasn't a major fall over but what a shame. We have given away 0.5 jumping out of the areas and the coaches will be disappointed by that. They work hard not to do that.

It was a great finish from Fragapane, but the red flag went up as she finished. The indiscretion is confirmed. Total deduction of 0.4 confirmed.

There was a big step out from Fragapane. I'm not sure if it was both feet. If it was, that's a deduction of 0.3 points.

    O'Reilly misses Olympics

News breaking from the boxing world.

Irish boxer Michael O'Reilly will not contest a provisional suspension from the Rio Olympic Games.

The middleweight, 23, was told last Thursday he had failed a doping test due to an "adverse analytical" finding - a ruling he appealed against.

In a statement handed to Irish broadcaster RTE,, external O'Reilly said he unintentionally took a supplement that may have contained a banned substance.

Before I get back to the gymnastics, there's just time to tell you of an excellent comeback win by Johanna Konta. The British number one came from a set down to beat Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova. She plays either Sam Stosur or Angelique Kerber in the third round.
