    Callum Skinner and Jason Kenny

That's a nice moment. A hug between the victor and the vanquished before a pose with the Union flag. Great Britain rules the Olympic sprint again.

Jason Kenny wins men's sprint gold

    Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV

Callum Skinner tried everything, he rode tactically very well in that second race but could not do anything about it.

We have seen Jason Kenny in incredible form and he has not finished yet - he still has the keirin to come.

I thought Callum did an excellent job, playing to a great gameplan but in end Jason Kenny just overpowered it. He was in control.

It's gold medal number five for Jason Kenny! He's beaten Callum Skinner in the sprint final and defends the Olympic title he won four years ago.

Sir Chris Hoy has six. Sir Bradley Wiggins, Sir Steve Redgrave and now Jason Kenny have five. GB's list of Olympic royalty adds a new name.

Hmmmm. Has Juan Martin del Potro being playing possum here? Break back. Back on serve.

Men's singles final: Murray 4-2 Del Potro

    Luke Reddy
    BBC Sport in Rio

Andy Murray stands six to eight feet behind the baseline for every Juan Martin del Potro serve and when the ball is tossed into the air, takes two big strides forward. For second serves his toes are on the baseline. Either way he's aggressive.

No doubting he's the dictator out there and has control. The two games Del Potro has won have resulted in a chorus of singing in the stands, so Murray will be keen to constantly disrupt any momentum his opponent seeks to build.

The stadium remains relatively timid in atmosphere but there's scope for it to bubble if Del Potro turns the flames up.

Del Potro is looking out of gas already early on here.

He has to dig deep. It might be the only time in his life he is this position.

Definitely not running on time in the velodrome. It means I have time to tell you that Juan Martin del Potro is desperately clinging to his serve like a man on the edge. Flagging.
