Tina Cook, Britain's three-time Olympic medallist, on BBC Radio 5 live: "You can see the sweat pouring off Nick's face - but he won't care! He has got very emotion and I can't blame him, he has waited a long time for this moment.
"He had one mistake on the very first day and has upped his game to the maximum. He has got better and better and the horse has shown some world-class jumping.
"If I'm being honest I thought we did have a strong chance of a medal - but I couldn't have said it was gold."

BBC Radio 5 live in RioWhat a fantastic performance and it has come from nowhere. Total sweeping away of the points today gave everyone a chance but Nick has out performed and out jumped everybody. Nick is hugging everything that is moving. He is in a state of absolute delirium and it is fantastic.
