I think you'd have to lasso Jamie Peacock off the pitch. What an engine.

Andy Lynch showing equally admirable stamina for Castleford.

Danny McGuire denied by some scrambling Castleford defence as Leeds press.

Rob Burrow was magnificent off the bench against Wigan and Catalans, and Leeds are preparing to send him on.

Castleford's kick chase is good as Justin Carney pegs back Ash Handley.

    End-to-end.

Both sides are finding gaps now with their pacy outside-backs, this time it is Leeds' Zak Hardaker who wriggles his way through but is stopped by a last-gasp tackle.

Tigers prop Grant Millington gives Leeds head and feed in centre field with a knock on.

No points yet in this second period.

    James Deighton
    BBC Radio Leeds commentator

"What an effort by Luke Dorn. For all money, it looked like Cuthbertson was going to touch down but Dorn has held him up."

Adam Cuthbertson gets over but Luke Dorn stopped him by getting under the ball. Great defence by Castleford.

Castleford then raced up field through Justin Carney but Ash Handley stopped him as he looked certain to cross, while Dorn knocked on in the next phase. Let off for Leeds but crucial defence.

Leeds handed cheap field position by an offside Castleford line.

    Rhinos deep in Cas territory.

Both sides going through their early sets without incident.

The pitch and state of the kits are reminiscent of the old pre-Super League days, mud, mud, mud.

Leeds get us back underway in the second-half.

Leeds lead at half-time, a good omen as they are undefeated in their last five meetings with Castleford, including last year's Challenge Cup success. Castleford's last win against the Rhinos was in February 2013.

Can the Tigers turn the tide today? They've got 40 minutes to do so...

  14. 'He's got the ball on a string at times'published at 13:40 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

    Rangi ChaseImage source, SWPIX.COM

In the day's final Super League game, in-form Huddersfield take on Salford and will be attempting to stop a magician.

Red Devils half-back Rangi Chase has been in supreme form so far this term, and Giants head coach Paul Anderson says the England international is high in their thoughts ahead of this evening's game.

"We've talked a bit about him in our practice stuff," Anderson told BBC Radio Leeds. "It's hard to get ready for one thing because he can do something else. He's got the ball on a string at times and it's hard to defend against or practice against."

So, half-time at The Jungle, and once we're done here, we only have a few minutes to wait before our next Super League action.

Earlier this week, St Helens captain Jon Wilkin described the Wigan-Saints derby as the biggest in rugby league. The DW Stadium hosts the first meeting of the two clubs since last season's Grand Final at 15:00 BST - live text and radio commentary will be available on this page a little later on.

Then to finish, it's Huddersfield v Salford at 18:00 BST - two clubs that have found some form in recent weeks. There will not be a text commentary of that match, but you can listen to live radio commentary online, courtesy of BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Radio Manchester.

    Stuart Dickens
Wakefield assistant coach on BBC Radio Leeds

"Leeds could have had another try or two. Castleford haven't had many opportunities, partly down to the errors they've made. They've not had much field position and they need to spend a little bit more time down in Leeds' area. Conditions aren't great but it's not dampened the teams' enthusiasm to play rugby."

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

    Cor. What a first-half.

It has been breathless this one.

Leeds lead, despite spending 10 minutes early on after Ryan Hall's sin-binning, thanks to some quality half-back play by Danny McGuire and Liam Sutcliffe and tries from Joel Moon, Ryan Hall and Stevie Ward.

You can't fault the Castleford application, but they've been undone on occasions by slick play.

Michael Shenton's try has them in the game, but they need greater accuracy and ruthlessness when close to the Leeds line.

  19. Postpublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

    Stuart Dickens
Wakefield assistant coach on BBC Radio Leeds

"Credit to Stevie Ward - he missed a lot of last season but he's made that right back-row position his own. He looks more robust and he's playing extremely well in that back row. Every try Leeds have scored has been from a Castleford error, which is very uncharacteristic."

  20. TRYpublished at 13:24 British Summer Time 3 April 2015

There's been a lot of talk about the Leeds youngsters coming through the ranks and two of them combine for a third try for Brian McDermott's side.

Liam Sutcliffe puts the little grubber through and Stevie Ward is determined to get there first to score.

Sutcliffe clips over to give Leeds a 10-point lead close to the hooter.
