    "In the first 20 minutes, Warrington didn't get into their stride. As soon as Ben Westwood came onto the field and gave them some momentum, they didn't look back.

    "For 60 minutes they've totally dominated Wigan physically, in ability and for me that little bit of hunger. They really wanted this tonight.

    "They've put a statement of intent there - they've put 40 points on Wigan Warriors.

    "Wigan are going to get some players back and they are going to come back strong."

    Ben Westwood might well stand proud like the King of Warrington, for he and his team-mates executed a game-plan ruthlessly tonight.

    Two tries for him, two for Ryan Atkins. Daryl Clark, Kevin Penny and Benjamin Jullien adding scores too. Wolves running hot.

    Are Warrington the real deal in 2016? They're suggesting as much at the moment.

    Wigan coach Shaun Wane told Sky Sports: "I don't want to talk about injuries, Warrington were good.

    "We showed some toughness, but there are no excuses.

    "I'm still proud of the efforts, we never gave in. We showed toughness in the first 25 minutes and we had a dig."

    Warrington coach Tony Smith told Sky Sports: "We were up there, defensively outstanding, and kept Wigan inside 30 metres on three occasions on the trot.

    "Some of our attack at times was not quite as fluid as I'd have liked but we got reward for blitzing defence.

    "It was physical, they've got an injury toll and we're not getting carried away. They're down on numbers and you could say we did the job we should do."

    Ben Westwood rumbled over for the try that gives Stefan Ratchford the chance to hit 40. He does.

    Warrington have controlled this game magnificently. Westwood pouncing to finish after Lee Mossop's wayward pass gave the Wolves position.

    Earlier in the set the England centre/back-rower had muscled up in attack to drag Wigan in sight of the line.

    "There's an air of expectancy with Wigan and their fans that when Sam Tomkins comes back in two or three weeks, everything will be ok - everything will click into form, and I'm not sure it will.

    "I think there's a lot of work to do for Wigan to get that fluency back and it's not just one person who's going to do it.

    "There's key personnel missing and they need experience back now."

    Captain Sean O'Loughlin, Joel Tomkins and Michael McIlorum are also out injured for the Warriors at the moment.
