Rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield will hang up his boots and his kicking tee at the end of the season.

After leading Leeds Rhinos to the treble in 2015, the 35-year-old switched codes to join union side Yorkshire Carnegie last November.

Sinfield captained Leeds for 13 years and won seven Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges and two Challenge Cups.

"I have always said that some day I will need to get a proper job and that day has now come," said Sinfield, who finished runner-up to Andy Murray in last year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year vote.

As you can see from Daryl Clark's face. It's been a good first half for Warrington.

Marshalled brilliantly by Stefan Ratchford and Kurt Gidley, on the back of a phenomenal pack, they've grown in this first half.

The supporting cast isn't too bad either - we've not even mentioned Ben Currie, while Ben Westwood scored a try with virtually his first touch of the ball.

Wigan Warriors took the lead through Josh Charnley. But errors have punctuated their play and cost them. Warrington's efficiency made them pay too.

Still plenty of footy to play though.

    Brilliant.

Matty Russell laid the platform with a cutting break from dummy-half, eating up the ground.

When Wigan finally stopped him, a beaut of a kick from Kurt Gidley to the corner found Kevin Penny who finished superbly.

Warrington in control at half-time and heading two points clear at the top of Super League.

Wigan send a kick to touch and are closing in on the Wolves line... until a forward pass just sees their momentum seep away.

Not Shaun Wane's night so far, as he takes charge of Wigan for the 150th time.

Eight points in it. Credit to the young Wigan side, they're playing with heart but Warrington's game-smarts just keeping them on top.

Matty Russell deemed to have played at George Williams' kick on the last and Wigan have a scrum close to half-way.

John Bateman got down to a slippery grubber with a brave challenge and Wigan snuff out the danger. Just.

Then they knock on. Scrum goes to Warrington.

    BEN WESTWOOD HELD UP.

Inside ball put him away, showed a step with it. Wigan rallied to cover...

Wigan complete a set in Warrington territory but Matty Smith's bomb is well taken.

George Williams on for Wigan, his direction is key. Taulima Tautai is having a tough night. Another penalty coughed up. He's enthusiastic but perhaps a little TOO enthusiastic.

  12. Warrington Wolves 12-4 Wigan Warriorspublished at 31 mins

Marvellous kick from Stefan Ratchford, held up in goal and Wigan looked like another sapping set was coming their way.

However, the home side are pinged and it's a much-needed relieving penalty for Wigan.

  13. Westwood over for Wolvespublished at 28 mins

TRY (Westwood, con Gidley)published at 28 mins

That's a solo try from Ben Westwood and another costly error by Wigan gives Warrington a greater advantage.

Westwood had only just entered the fray but he's made his presence felt. Steamed through the Wigan cover.

Lead extended. Kurt Gidley sweeps the conversion.

Good kicking, brilliant line-speed. Wigan are using up so much energy just trying to clear their lines.

Warrington get a penalty for Taulima Tautai's high tackle. Stefan Ratchford is slinging it to touch.

Not a bad runner, Kurt Gidley, either as he sliced his way through a moment ago.

Wigan did enough to stop him, but the home side have their tails up... Dan Sarginson did brilliantly to pluck a kick out of the air.

    Visitors survive.

  17. Warrington Wolves 6-4 Wigan Warriorspublished at 26 mins

Warrington kicking cleverly. That's what Kurt Gidley brings. His clip in behind has Dan Sarginson bringing the ball away from his own line.

The line-speed from the hosts is good and Wigan finish that set inside their own 20. Good thump downfield though. Warrington come again.

    Iestyn Harris

"Daryl Clark showed a beautiful dummy - superb play from Warrington Wolves and that's the key for them.

"If they can keep these changes of direction and make it difficult for this Wigan defence, they've got unbelievable attacking ability in their team."

Both teams showing how costly penalties can be.

Warrington this time profit from the award, with Daryl Clark crossing on the back of juggling and sleight of hand from Matty Russell.

Big line from him. Kurt Gidley adds the two and the home side lead.

  20. Warrington Wolves 0-4 Wigan Warriorspublished at 21 mins

Warrington getting a bit ragged. Wigan are flying into tackles.

Now they've got a penalty, and it's Willie Isa who's been pinged.

    Big opportunity this for Warrington.
