  1. Huddersfield 8-20 Wakefieldpublished at 47 mins

You know how Wakefield were all over Huddersfield at the start of the game?

Well they're doing the exact same thing now. Finding holes, breaking tackles, they look really fired up for this again.

  2. try

    Huddersfield 8-20 Wakefield

Another Huddersfield mistake that results in a try.

Scott Grix tries a looping pass over the top of Tom Johnstone but he gathers the ball easily and sprints 80 metres to put the ball down under the sticks.

An absolute gift for a flying winger and Liam Finn gets Wakefield up to 20 points.

  3. Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefieldpublished at 43 mins

You may have guessed, I'm no rugby league coach.

But if I was Andy Kelly I'd start handing out some punishments for handling errors in training, as Jamie Ellis spills another simple pass.

He makes amends seconds later as his tackle forces Wakefield to knock the ball forward.

  4. Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefieldpublished at 42 mins

First real kicking tester for Jake Connor but he knocks the ball on jumping in the air.

In the process, his legs catch Wakefield's Ben Jones-Bishop who receives some treatment but is fine - as he gets up he's then penalised for tackling in the air.

The classic game of two halves so far. That is, a half of two halves.

Wakefield raced into the lead after dominating the opening exchanges, but Huddersfield are right back in this led by a fired-up Danny Brough.

Some stunning finishes, hard tackling and thoroughly enjoyable rugby in there.

  10. NO TRYpublished at 40 mins

    Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefield

So, so close for Jake Connor but the ball just went into touch by centimetres.

    Stunning effort, mind.

  11. TRY REVIEW (Connor)published at 40 mins

    Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefield

I'm not sure Jake Connor has got this one down for Huddersfield before going into touch...

He certainly has got Wakefield ticking this season after their bottom-of-the-table showing last year Alex.

  13. Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefieldpublished at 37 mins

Josh Johnson is the next man to get his tackle technique wrong as he goes high on Tom Johnstone.

Another penalty for Wakefield, this time deep in Giants territory - can they finish the half as they started it?

  14. Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefieldpublished at 35 mins

Wakefield spill the ball at the back of a ruck and their territorial advantage is gone.

However, Tom Symonds then lunges into a tackle that hands the visitors a penalty.

  15. NO TRYpublished at 32 mins

    Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefield

This Huddersfield pressure is relentless now.

Tom Symonds goes on a barnstorming run and it takes three players to slow him down and then hold him up over the line.

    Danny BroughImage source, SWPIX.COM

I keep mentioning him, but he's at the heart of Huddersfield's play and dictating the game now Danny Brough.

Maybe he just needed a sit down for 10 minutes to get himself going?

His weighted grubber is patted out, but they hosts will receive the kick back again.

  17. Huddersfield 8-14 Wakefieldpublished at 27 mins

It looked early on that this would be a one-sided affair, but game on now.

Another bit of Danny Brough creativity sets the Giants up out wide but then earns them a penalty.

  18. try

    TRY (Connor)published at 25 mins

Danny Brough had some making up to do and the Huddersfield half-back did it in some style.

He steps inside then out, running hard at defenders and causing panic before darting through a gap.

Just as he is held up close to the line, he lays off to Jake Connor to cross. Brough misses the conversion.

  19. TRY REVIEW (Connor)published at 25 mins

    Huddersfield 4-14 Wakefield

It looks as if Danny Brough has put in Giants winger Jake Connor out wide...

  20. Huddersfield 4-14 Wakefieldpublished at 24 mins

Another kick, another just out of reach.

This time it's bombed into touch with Jermaine McGillvary challenging in an attacking position for Huddersfield. Two chances in a couple of minutes for the home fans to get excited about at least.
