  1. Huddersfield 4-14 Wakefieldpublished at 22 mins

    Huddersfield are a team transformed.

Still with this man disadvantage remember, they suddenly begin to fly forward and Scott Grix's grubber kick in goal is hacked away by the visitors' defence.

He is a lucky boy, is Scott Grix.

A Wakefield handling error sends the Huddersfield full-back streaming through with clear grass in front of him, but as he gets to the line Tom Johnstone produces a fine tackle from behind to try to hold him up, but Grix just about gets the ball down. Embarrassment avoided.

Jamie Ellis is unsuccessful from the tee.

  3. TRY REVIEW (Grix)published at 19 mins

    Huddersfield 0-14 Wakefield

Has Huddersfield full-back Scott Grix been too casual putting this ball down over the line?!

  4. PENALTY (Finn)published at 18 mins

    Huddersfield 0-14 Wakefield

He might have just missed the conversion, but Liam Finn makes no mistake this time.

    Wakefield are flying here.

Plenty of work for Huddersfield's temporary coach, Andy Kelly, to do with the Giants 12-0 down inside the first quarter of this Challenge Cup quarter-final.

  6. try

    TRY (Jones-Bishop)published at 15 mins

    Huddersfield 0-12 Wakefield

This is a stunning, acrobatic finish for Ben Jones-Bishop out wide as he dives from two metres out, and at full stretch places the ball on the white stuff.

His ninth of the season since joining Wakefield from Salford.

Liam Finn is unable to add to his two goals so far but what a start this has been for Wakefield - it already looks like a long way back for the Giants.

  7. TRY REVIEW (Jones-Bishop)published at 15 mins

    Huddersfield 0-8 Wakefield

Just checking the pressure on the ball on a Ben Jones-Bishop try out wide...

  8. SIN-BIN (Brough)published at 14 mins

    Huddersfield 0-8 Wakefield

And that decision is 10 minutes to cool off for Danny Brough.

It didn't get any prettier on the slow motion replays and Huddersfield have some defending to do with 12 men.

  9. Huddersfield 0-8 Wakefieldpublished at 14 mins

There a stop in play at the moment as Wakefield's Reece Lyne is down receiving some treatment.

Danny Brough certainly came in with a strong arm and the referee has a decision to make here...

  10. PENALTY (Finn)published at 13 mins

    Huddersfield 0-8 Wakefield

Wanting to take some points from their attacking play, Liam Finn knocks over another couple of points for Wakefield.

His 62nd successful kick in a row, so I'm told.

  11. Huddersfield 0-6 Wakefieldpublished at 11 mins

Well, Wakefield should have had their second try.

Earl Crabtree loses the ball in the tackle, the Wildcats hack it forward but Tom Johnstone cannot gather the bouncing ball on the line to dot down.

They still have head and feed from the advantage played though.

Some breaking news from Super League to bring you...

New Zealand forward Frank-Paul Nuuausala has joined Wigan Warriors from NRL side Canberra Raiders on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The deal for the 29-year-old is effective immediately. Wigan are in the process of applying for a visa and say they "anticipate his arrival in the UK in a few weeks' time".

  13. Huddersfield 0-6 Wakefieldpublished at 9 mins

I said there would be no excuse for knocking the ball on and Ukuma Ta'ai has no one to blame as he loses it out of his hands.

Something just not quite right about the Giants at the moment, but remember they did pick up an impressive with at Salford last week.

  14. Huddersfield 0-6 Wakefieldpublished at 7 mins

Wakefield think they've got a chance to break away with space in behind, but Bill Tupou knocked the ball forward making a tackle so Huddersfield get the ball back.

The Giants earn another penalty close to the Wakefield line for their best attacking position so far.

  15. Huddersfield 0-6 Wakefieldpublished at 5 mins

Huddersfield get through their first set of the game and Danny Brough launches a huge kick up top for Wakefield to run back.

Fine, summer conditions in Yorkshire tonight it must be said - no excuses for any knock ons.

  16. try

TRY (Fafita, goal Finn)published at 2 mins

That early knock-on by Huddersfield has proved costly.

The Giants never look set in defence and Australian David Fafita bashes over from close range on his first start for the club.

Liam Finn adds a couple more points and it's the perfect start for Wakefield.

  17. Kick-offpublished at 1 min

Wakefield get us going... and Huddersfield immediately spill the ball. Horrible start.

As well as the rugby, tonight is going to be an emotional one for followers of Huddersfield after the death of academy player Ronan Costello.

This is the first home match for the Giants since the 17-year-old suffered the fatal incident in under-19s match against Salford.

There will be a minute's applause before the game, where the Huddersfield under-19 side will be on the field, while there is also a commemorative programme and a book of condolence at the ground for supporters.
