More from Hull head coach Lee Radford, talking about the tight turnaround between today's Challenge Cup win and their next Super League match on Thursday...

"That's a tough one. The fixture list came out prior to the semi-finals and both teams knew that one of us was going to play on the Thursday.

"Make no mistake, I'll name the side tomorrow. I think we could have been smarter by putting that game back 48 or 72 hours. It will take a special effort to get a result on Thursday."

Neil: Not a Wigan fan but that no try by Clubb was crucial.

Paul: Clubb no try was right. No ball steel. Ball carrier's responsibility to keep hold of the ball.

Dean: Never a try for Clubb as he was turning and the natural movement of Tuimavave. Arm did not strip the ball.

The Hull celebrations will be going on late into the night, you feel.

Their players are posing for pictures in their dressing room right now.

"This is what you play rugby for and I couldn't be more jealous," says Jon Wilkin in the BBC studio.

Marc Sneyd was excellent, but we really need to mention Liam Watts and Gareth Ellis. Scott Taylor had one of his best games. Hull's middle unit took it to Wigan.

Hull's fortunes changed with the recruitment of Gareth Ellis in 2013. It changed their whole culture.

In our Red Button forum there's an interesting conversation going on between our BBC pundits about Marc Sneyd and whether, with a World Cup coming up later this year, he should be involved at international level with England.

Maybe that's another discussion topic for you to get stuck into...

Ultimately the difference between the two teams was the Lance Todd Trophy winner, Marc Sneyd. He kicked smartly and Wigan couldn't match that.

Credit to both sides. Hull edged it. They have a game plan that works for them and they built pressure with their kicking.
