    Hull FC 12-6 Wigan

Wigan try to build something but Sam Tomkins' pass is intercepted by Josh Griffin and knocked on.

Initially it didn't seem as though referee Phil Bentham had blown for the knock-on. Wigan fans' hearts skipped a beat there!

Outstanding last tackle play from Sneyd. That was a peach of a kick again. They deserve this lead.

Hull's Mahe Fonua grounds the ball, picking up the pieces after an aerial contest.

Referee Phil Bentham wants the video referee to have a look, and the try is given!

The holders lead for the first time. Marc Sneyd, instrumental again in the build-up, adds the extra two points.

Hull are looking just about the more threatening here. Albert Kelly sends through a grubber kick which Joe Burgess has to put behind for the goal-line dropout.

    Hull reply through Fetuli Talanoa!

Forward Liam Watts was held up just shy of the try line, but Marc Sneyd's kick out wide picks out the big winger and Talanoa plonks the ball down for Hull's first score.

Sneyd kicks through the posts to add the extra two, and we're level again.

    Hull FC 0-6 Wigan

Both sides have been very disciplined so far. I can't recall there being a penalty awarded in the first 10 minutes.

Ah, spoke too soon. Wigan's Liam Farrell doesn't play the ball correctly and is penalised.

    Hull FC 0-6 Wigan

Marc Sneyd, the Lance Todd Trophy winner as man of the match in Hull's win over Warrington at Wembley last year, has had a couple of chances with the boot early on but has been unable to create anything meaninful thus far.

I'd expect him to produce some wizardry before the day is out, though.

  11. try

TRY - Hull FC 0-6 Wiganpublished at 5 mins

    John Bateman, goal George Williams

    Advantage Wigan at Wembley!

Thomas Leuluai's high kick lands in behind the Hull backline and bounces beautifully for Anthony Gelling, who feeds John Bateman for the game's opening score.

George Williams puts over the kick at goal and the Warriors have a six-point lead.
