  1. PENALTY: Wigan 12-10 Hullpublished at 38 mins

    Sam Tomkins

Wigan didn't have the greatest of goal-kicking seasons in 2017 but maybe Sam Tomkins is the man to solve that particular issue.

The Warriors opt for the posts from a penalty and Tomkins booms over a kick from long range.

    Wigan 10-10 Hull

It's been an excellent fightback by Hull from 10-0 down.

I just wonder how important that two-minute spell will be. From what looked to be certain a 12-point deficit, Lee Radford's side have drawn level.

  3. try

TRY: Wigan 10-10 Hullpublished at 35 mins

    Jordan Abdull, goal Marc Sneyd

Incredible! Hull survive an almost certain try for Wigan, then go down the other end and score one of their own!

Wigan backs Morgan Escare and Liam Marshall get in a terrible muddle, allowing Jordan Abdull to touch down the loose ball.

It's a simple kick for Marc Sneyd to level at 10-10.

    Wigan 10-4 Hull

How have Hull got away with that?

Dan Sarginson only has one man to beat but is held up.

Then Wigan work a three-on-one on the left touchline but Oliver Gildart spills George Williams' fired pass.

    My word.

    Wigan 10-4 Hull

Liam Marshall sniffs a first-half hat-trick for Wigan but the winger can't quite ground George Williams' grubber kick correctly.

  7. try

TRY: Wigan 10-4 Hullpublished at 25 mins

    Fetuli Talanoa

    Hull are on the scoreboard!

Fetuli Talanoa follows his hat-trick against Huddersfield last week with a superb acrobatic finish in the left corner.

Marc Sneyd's kick flies wide of the upright, so the deficit is cut to six.

    Wigan 10-0 Hull

Hull are desperately trying to find a way through the Wigan defence, which is staying strong for now.

A grubber kick through by Marc Sneyd is seen out of play, but better signs from the Black and Whites.

Jake Connor's interception near his own try line sets up a long-distance Hull break, but a high kick on the last isn't gathered cleanly.

  12. try

TRY: Wigan 10-0 Hullpublished at 12 mins

    Liam Marshall

Liam Marshall has done it again!

Almost a carbon copy of his first try, he gets the ball 50 metres from the try line and Marshall outpaces the Hull defence to score.

Both tries have come on Hull's right - maybe a result of losing winger Bureta Faraimo early on? Or just exceptional finishing from Marshall?

Sam Tomkins hits the post with his kick at goal.

On the field, penalties seem to be the order of the day.

Hull concede a couple but Wigan cough up possession, before the Warriors give Hull a chance to make some ground up the field.

Hull centre Jake Connor knocks on, though, so it remains 6-0 in Wigan's favour.

    Wigan 6-0 Hull

Seconds after scoring the game's first try, Wigan's Liam Marshall fails to gather from the resulting kick-off, giving Hull the chance of an immediate response.

Albert Kelly's looping kick on the last tackle is dealt with by Marshall and Wigan escape.

TRY: Wigan 6-0 Hull FCpublished at 4 mins

    Liam Marshall, goal Sam Tomkins

The first try! It goes Wigan's way.

Liam Marshall opens the scoring with a 50-metre dash down the left touchline, after a great break engineered by George Williams and Liam Farrell.

Sam Tomkins knocks over the extra two points.

    Wigan 0-0 Hull

Hull look like they might have lost winger Bureta Faraimo in the first few minutes here.

He clashed heads with a Wigan player and he looks very groggy as he's helped off the field.

These conditions won't be too strange for plenty of the players on show today.

Many have appeared in Australia's NRL before, while a few were involved in the recent World Cup down under at the end of 2017.
