  1. try

TRY: Leeds 40-12 Leighpublished at 36 mins

    Richie Myler, goal Jordan Lilley

Revenge is a dish best served with a tremendous try almost from the restart, or something.

Richie Myler, fresh from an arm to the face, runs straight up the middle of the pitch and crosses over to score Leeds' seventh try.

Jordan Lilley adds two more points.

    Leeds 34-12 Leigh

This doesn't look good from Leigh, either.

Ben Crooks flattens Richie Myler with a forearm and he goes down like a tonne of bricks.

He's back up but the incident is going on report.

  4. try

TRY: Leeds 34-12 Leighpublished at 30 mins

    Drew Hutchison, goal Ben Reynolds

    Blimey, this is mad.

Drew Hutchison goes over for Leigh against the run of play but it's taken to the video referee.

Fortunately for the Centurions it's given and Ben Reynolds adds the two.

  5. try

TRY: Leeds 34-6 Leighpublished at 27 mins

    Ashton Golding, goal Jordan Lilley

We could be witnessing a thrashing here.

Ashton Golding shows tremendous pace to run past about six or seven Leigh players to touch down.

That's yet another try pretty much from the restart. Jordan Lilley kicks a straightforward conversion and we're not even at the half hour mark.

  6. try

TRY: Leeds 28-6 Leighpublished at 25 mins

    Jimmy Keinhorst, goal Jordan Lilley

Jimmy Keinhorst has literally limped over the line to score yet another try for Leeds but it's a bittersweet moment for the Rhinos as he pulls up with what looks like a pulled hamstring prior to crossing over.

Ironically he's only just been recalled from his loan spell at Widnes due to Leeds having several players out through injury.

Still, Jordan Lilley puts another two on the board.

  7. try

TRY: Leeds 22-6 Leighpublished at 23 mins

    Ash Handley, goal Jordan Lilley

This could be a big score indeed.

Ash Handley had good hands (excuse the pun) to hold onto the ball and crash over the line.

Jordan Lilley makes no mistake with the conversion.

  8. try

TRY: Leeds 16-6 Leighpublished at 21 mins

    Jack Walker, goal Jordan Lilley

Leeds are on fire right now.

Jack Walker is a man who cannot be stopped and he scores his first try of the season as he picks up the ball almost on the halfway line and jinks his way through before touching down.

    Jordan Lilley adds the two.

  9. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Leeds 10-6 Leigh

Carl Ablett is limping off for Leeds Rhinos who could really do without more injuries this season.

The hosts look much more comfortable since Leigh's early sending off, to their credit.

  10. try

TRY: Leeds 10-6 Leighpublished at 15 mins

    Tom Briscoe, goal Jordan Lilley

Two tries for Tom Briscoe in five minutes.

Leigh are really suffering the loss of Peter Mata'utia. Drew Hutchison tries to stop Briscoe from going over, but he twists and turns his way to touch down.

Jordan Lilley finds the target with the conversion.

  11. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Leeds 4-6 Leigh

Leigh's Jamie Acton is down and in some discomfort as bears the weight of teammate Drew Hutchison after going in for a tackle.

He receives some medical attention but he's cleared to play on. He's probably feeling a bit sore though.

  12. try

TRY: Leeds 4-6 Leighpublished at 10 mins

    Tom Briscoe

Leeds make their extra man advantage count straight from the restart as Tom Briscoe weaves in to touch down with ease.

Jordan Lilley fails to kick the extras, however.

  13. RED CARD (Mata'utia)published at 9 mins

    Leeds 0-6 Leigh

Leeds are under a bit of pressure in the early stages of this game and they've barely had possession of the ball.

A rare opportunity in front of the whitewash sees Matt Parcell upended onto his neck by Leigh's Peter Mata'utia.

It doesn't look good and Mata'utia is off.

What a huge moment in this game.

  14. try

TRY: Leeds 0-6 Leighpublished at 4 mins

    Nathan Mason, goal Ben Reynolds

Prior to kick-off, Leigh won the toss and opted the play uphill in Featherstone in the first half.

The visitors go on the attack early on and are rewarded when Nathan Mason manages to ground the ball despite Leeds' desperate attempts to thwart him.

Ben Reynolds easily kicks the extra two points and what a start for the Championship side!

The players are out and Leeds have got us under way.

Rhinos are missing eight players - could we have a shock on our hands?

A reminder that tonight's game is taking place at Featherstone Rovers' LD Nutrition Stadium as Leeds' usual Headingley venue is unavailable due to England's cricket Test match against Pakistan taking place next door.

  19. How did we get here?published at 19:29 British Summer Time 1 June 2018

    Leeds v Leigh (19:35 BST)

Leeds set up tonight's Challenge Cup quarter-final tie by narrowly beating Widnes Vikings 23-20 at the Select Security Stadium on 11 May.

The reigning Super League champions are aiming to reach the final for the first time since 2015, when they won the treble.

Meanwhile Leigh, who have had a mixed bag of a season in the second tier so far, overcame Batley Bulldogs, London Broncos, and Salford Red Devils to reach the quarter-finals.

But who will go through this evening?

Another day, another Challenge Cup quarter-final. Tonight we see Super League side Leeds Rhinos take on Championship side Leigh Centurions.

We already have one semi-finalist after Catalans Dragons beat Huddersfield Giants last night in a game that, to be polite, was lacking in entertainment or quality.

But still, tonight's another night and fingers crossed there's some try-scoring, rough and tumble action.

    Kick-off's on its way soon.
