  1. Postpublished at 11 mins

    St Helens 6-6 Wakefield

Another early, high bomb from Saints and this time it causes all kinds of problems. Luckily for Wakefield Lee Kershaw gets on the bouncing ball and runs it clear.

This must be an obvious tactic St Helens want to use.

  2. PENALTYpublished at 9 mins

    St Helens 6-6 Wakefield

A little break in play and at the resumption Ben Jones-Bishop claims a steepling catch for Wakefield on his own line, is tackled in the air and a penalty will get Trinity clear.

  3. 'What a great try'published at 15:31 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    St Helens 6-6 Wakefield

    John Kear
    Wales & Bradford Bulls coach

My word! We know Jack Croft can play from what we've seen in the academy but to score with his first touch of the ball in senior rugby!

    What a great try.

  4. try

TRY St Helens 6-6 Wakefieldpublished at 6 mins

    Jack Croft

Great response? How about UNBELIEVABLE RESPONSE?!

And it's the 19-year-old centre Jack Croft who crosses in the corner with a bit of magic on his debut. He powers his way through two Saints tacklers and over the line.

Danny Brough with the two from tight on the line and we're level.

    Wow.

    Breathless.

  5. 'Tremendous try'published at 15:26 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    St Helens 6-0 Wakefield

    John Kear
    Wales & Bradford Bulls coach

A tremendous try there from Lachlan Coote.

The kick from Danny Brough just bounced on the wrong side and that made it a seven-try set.

Wakefield will be disappointed that Saints' first set has ended with a try.

  6. Postpublished at 5 mins

    St Helens 6-0 Wakefield

Great response from Wakefield as Jacob Miller thunders into Alex Walmsley and he knocks the ball on from the kick return.

    Scrum in a dangerous position.

  7. try

TRY St Helens 6-0 Wakefieldpublished at 3 mins

    Lachlan Coote

Ruthless from Saints. They make the most of Danny Brough's error/bad luck as Jonny Lomax bursts through 20 yards from the line, throws a dummy and then sends Lachlan Coote in for an easy score.

The same player easily converts the goal to take himself to six points and make it a perfect start for the runaway Super League leaders.

  8. Postpublished at 2 mins

    St Helens 0-0 Wakefield

Wakefield run the first set and Danny Brough's very unlucky at the end of it. It's almost the perfect kick to the corner but a dodgy bounce takes it behind the dead-ball line and Saints can head up the field and start their first attack

  9. Kick-offpublished at 1 min

    St Helens 0-0 Wakefield

We're FINALLY under way at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

    What, a, name.

By the way St Helens are looking to keep their pursuit of a 13th Challenge Cup, and first since 2008, on track while Wakefield are aiming to keep up their push for a sixth triumph and first since 1963.

St Helens v Wakefield (15:15 BST)

Players are on the pitch. We're nearly there.

  11. Postpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

St Helens v Wakefield (15:15 BST)

Doesn't look like we're kicking off on time here folks. Well we're not, it's gone quarter past.

Both teams are still in their dressing rooms! Like caged animals...

Could make for a fast start when they're eventually allowed out.

A big boost for Wakefield as talismanic half-back Danny Brough recovers from a hand injury to start. Meanwhile teenage centre Jack Croft is handed a debut.

But they'll have to do without prop David Fifita and full-back Max Jowitt, neither of whom made the original 19-man squad after getting injured against Catalans at Magic Weekend.

There are five changes in total from that defeat with Junior Sa'u, Mason Caton-Brown and James Batchelor dropping out. Lee Kershaw, Jordan Crowther and Keegan Hirst come in.

Wakefield: Hampshire, Kershaw, Lyne, Croft, Jones-Bishop, Miller, Brough, England, Randell, Kopczak, Kirmond, Ashurst, Tanginoa.

    Interchanges: Crowther, Wood, King, Hirst.

  14. Four changes for Saintspublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

St Helens v Wakefield (15:15 BST)

St Helens impressively beat Castleford at Magic Weekend and head coach Justin Holbrook arguably has an even stronger squad this afternoon, although Theo Fages is missing.

Prop Luke Thompson, centre Mark Percival and loose-forward Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook have all recovered from injury. Danny Richardson is the other man to come in.

Matty Costello, Aaron Smith and James Bentley miss out.

St Helens: Coote, Makinson, Grace, Naiqama, Percival, Lomax, Richardson, Knowles, Peyroux, Taia, Walmsley, Roby, Thompson.

    Interchanges: Paulo, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Lees, Ashworth.

Ain't she a beauty? That's what they're playing for. Well, not today. This is only a quarter-final but ultimately that's what they're playing for.

Good afternoon and welcome to some more Challenge Cup live text coverage from BBC Sport. Just two spots remain for next month's semi-finals which will form part of a triple header in Bolton, also featuring the women's final.

We've seen holders Catalans dumped out after a total and utter spanking by Hull FC and Warrington progress comfortably despite a spirited second-half showing from Hull KR.

Today let's have a rip-roaring, to and fro contest then please as St Helens host Wakefield.

To call this "David and Goliath" would be a huge exaggeration but there's no getting away from the fact Saints, runaway Super League leaders, are huge favourites.

We're just 15 minutes from kick-off so less claptrap from me, let's crack on.
