"I though Warrington started the better of the two teams, they came out firing but then made three or four errors on the bounce and that stopped any momentum they gained.

"From that point on it has been all Castleford and they only got better as the half went on. The loss of Blake Austin means the tide has turned and Castleford are strong favourites to go on and win this now.

"Warrington will get the medical team to have a look at Blake Austin to see if they can patch him up. But that would be a hell of a job for them to do that."

Blake Austin is now hobbling off the pitch. It's unclear at this stage what's wrong with him exactly but it happened during that one on one with Jordan Rankin earlier.

This could be a blow for Warrington as he looks in no shape to take any further part in this match.

"There is no clear indication that the ball is down. He didn't even burrow his way under, he just skipped and stepped the four defenders and managed to get underneath them. They are very fortunate there."

  10. NO TRYpublished at 35 mins

    Warrington 0-6 Castleford

Video ref Ben Thaler zooms as it appears a Castleford player's boot remarkably holds the ball up from going over the line.

Is it enough? Thaler says yes and it's not given.

    Warrington 0-6 Castleford

Josh Charnley breaks onto a loose ball two yards from the Castleford tryline just in time to get another set of six for the hosts.

But what will they do with it? Blake Austin, who seems to be carrying an injury now, picks it up and sheepishly gets rid of the ball and Daryl Clark picks it up and works it over the line.

Referee Chris Kendall signals a try but goes to the video ref..

What have Warrington got in response to that Castleford try?

Well Blake Austin works a way through a formidable amount of opposition bodies and he's one on one with Jordan Rankin, who brings him down. The Warrington man is also hurt and there's a break in play before he eventually carries on.

The Wire go on to squander their advantage as Dec Patton is halted for a forward tackle.

"You can't manufacture confidence and clearly Warrington have tried to do that. You could hear with all the talk before the game that the coaches were trying to manufacture confidence in the group. That is fine until the point you are not doing too well and the confidence drains away.

"You can hear the crowd subtly changing now."

  14. try

TRY Warrington 0-6 Castlefordpublished at 27 mins

    Adam Milner, goal Peter Mata'utia

Dear oh dear. Toby King is ushered over his own tryline by three Castleford players and there's a goal line drop out.

Castleford work it back upfield and Adam Milner eventually crosses the line but it goes to the video referee, who duly gives the try.

Peter Mata'utia makes no mistake with the extras right in front of the sticks.

"I didn't expect it to be scoreless at this stage, not after Warrington started with such intensity. They have dropped too much ball to maintain that and Daryl Powell will be very happy up in the stands."

    Warrington 0-0 Castleford

My word, how have Castleford not scored there?

A sustained attack and some good passing from one flank of the pitch to the other sees Warrington struggle for the bodies to deny them a route towards the first try of the match.

However, the visitors frantically run out of tackles as Josh Charnley eventually runs in rescue the hosts and regain possession.

    Warrington 0-0 Castleford

Jordan Rankin surges upfield and Castleford desperately try to make amends for their inconsistent start.

However, once again the tables turn in Warrington's favour as they collect the ball at the turnover as Castleford struggle to find a way through their resolute back line.

This is a frantic start and, as we approach the halfway point of the first half, neither side are off the mark. Somehow!
